Superman better be the leader of the Justice League.

Superman better be the leader of the Justice League.

Still sad that Snyder pretty much confirmed that this won't happen.

I can't believe that Snyder didn't want Superman to be involved. You can pretty much tell with how he handled Superman's mythology in BvS that he doesn't give a **** about Superman's value in the DC world.

But I've already started to make peace with the fact that Superman will never be Batman's equal in the DCEU as long as Snyder is around.

just because he's dead doesn't mean he won't be the leader at some point

batman forms the team but they have issues early on, in comes the resurrected superman and he's the missing piece of the puzzle. At least thats what common sense would say.

Yeah, Snyder and Common sense don't go well together

Some of you guys jump the gun a lot. You can't really say Superman has no value in this world when practically the entire BvS movie revolves around Superman, the result of his presence and actions and the world's reaction to him.

I didn't get that Superman has no value from the film. Batman got a lot of the cooler bits but Supes seemed like he was the most crucial individual member and it looks like it's being set up like that for JL [BLACKOUT](with his return being the turning point)[/BLACKOUT].

Yeah well the fact that Snyder had gone record that the JL can't exist without Superman, only for things to be turning out the way they are now really makes Snyder lose all credit to anything that he spills out of his mouth.

Yeah, the fact that he has no role in the conception/creation of the JL pretty much shows that he won't have an integral role within the near future.

The best that people could possibly hope for is of him not returning as a controlled minion of Darkseid (if he's used in this film)

The least that we can hope for is for Superman to at least have some decent scenes in the final fight because i don't see him being in JL that much.

Not only that but now we have to waste time in jl with his resurrection in the movie when it could be better spent elsewhere

How? I think the logic makes sense, he has the characters struggle to get together, instead of everyone easily following Superman.

Movies need drama and challanges, to make those achievements feel good.

Snyder gave the impression that the group cannot exist without Superman. Given on how the group forms without his involvement, doesn't that contradict his previous statement?

Not really no, since he clearly states everyone would easily join JL if Superman was asking people, therefore he's making things harder for Batman and Wonder Woman.

He also calls Superman the Michael Jordan of the group, the guy who makes the big scores.

My wonder is.. Will they SW:TFA this or what?

Yes, Snyder compared Superman to Luke Skywalker in SW:TFA.

I think it's safe for SW7 spoilers, but... You know who shows up VERY late in the film. Granted, I think JL1&2 are a connected story.
So are you asking if Superman is going to have a 2 minute cameo at the end of the film? That would be a pretty rotten deal for the fans of Superman and for Henry Cavill, especially considering we have no word on a solo Superman movie.

Honestly I'm trying not to sound bitter but it's proving to be a difficult thing to do.

I though the comparison with TFA was by the writer of the article, not by Snyder ? Either way, I wouldn't read too much into it. I gave my thoughts on that in the "excitement thread".

I don't think there is a chance at only a two minute appearance but... I can see Superman being held back a bit before his grand resurrection.

Which is why it's possible that Superman's ST could be the same as Vision's from AOU, who was also brought to life after the second act of the film and right before the third act.

It's a rotten deal for sure, but I guess it's definitely better than Superman being resurrected early and being mind controlled.

I wish someone would call out Snyder on his obvious bias towards Batman because it's clear that he wanted Batman to be the head honcho of the group.

I don't expect Superman to officially join the group until the end of the film. If Superman ends up being used as something more than the heavy hitter of the group then i'll be surprised.
