He was probably reading friggin' cue cards as he spoke those lines but his delivery is still amazing.

Indeed. And I think it happened at the right time in his career. If he got cast years ago when he was younger and more inexperienced and under a different director I don't think he would be as great of a Superman as he seems to be now.

Yeah even though Cavill was known as 'The unluckiest man Hollywood has ever seen' for a long, long time, I think he lucked out with Superman. I wouldn't have wanted him any sooner than now. It's like, perfect for him.

I particularly like this interview with Henry. Such a charming guy. I hope he gets a lot more movie roles with his success as Superman (and hopefully no more crappy ones like Cold Light of Day). A little early to promote MOS on late night talk shows don't you think (this vid is from March)?

By the way, speaking of that scene, did anyone else notice how much bigger Cavill seemed in that scene during the trailer than in the set photos? I'm not saying Henry is CGI enhanced or anything, just that when you see him in motion, you get a far better sense of his size and weight. The guy has this amazing freight train sort of presence when he is running shirtless on the shoreline. Very Superman, looks like he has the power of a locomotive in my opinion.

This is pretty much been happening on this board for the past few years.

People are already undermining what Chris Reeve brought to the role, all to big up Henry Cavill. It's as if we couldn't have more than one actor capture the role of Clark Kent/Superman.

Hardy, good chance of yes. All that back acne he had on set is indicative of AAS use. Cavill, I don't think so. First off, no evidence of back acne and he didn't seem to be retaining water like people usually do when they cycle. Evans and Hemsworth had more of that sort of look in my opinion. However, despite what the media tells you, there is noting really wrong with steroid use within reason. All of the side effects were vastly exaggerated in order to support their criminalization due to moral outrage over their use in sports. Just like how we know now that most of the scientific propaganda surrounding the criminalization of marijuana was smokescreen used to prop up a similar moral disapproval of its use.
