keeping in mind that i personally and in a wheelchair and think its a total load of crap that ppl treat me different because of it...here's the poll..and plz be as brutal as u wish...how many of u would trash talk with someone who was in a wheelchair and make fun of them like u would any of ur other friends or for that matter if they went too far actually get into a physical fight with them to put them in check for pissing u off so bad?...as i said..be as honost and brutal as u can..otherwise ur just lying to me and urself wich is another thing that piss's me off..i hate when ppl lie to me cuz of being afraid to hurt my feelings.

If I was you're friend I would never make fun of your disability, that said I have no disabled friends. I am however open to such friendships, I don't see myself as above anyone else.

I remember there was this ass in a wheelchair who was driving all bat out of hell on the sidewalk and nearly hit like 4 or 5 people including this woman with a stroller, and then when he came to the corner, he decided to go even though the light was against him. So as he went, he missed the ramp, and went off the curb instead and fell over right into the gutter.

yeah..even i have to laugh at hearing that one..its just funnier when a person in a wheelchair makes the stupid mistakes in life..lol..i mean dont get me wrong..i make alot of the same mistakes but ive never driven that crazy...except once when me and this one kid in school who had just had knee surgery had a race in the hall and i ended up ramming into him trying to basicly cheat and i knocked him over and he fell sideways and to cut it short i ended up buying his lunch for the rest of the year and feeling bad cuz he spent an extra 6 monthes in that chair for the other leg

I don't know, maybe it's just the type of friends I have, but nothing is sacred between us. If we start crackin' jokes at each other nothing will be spared. Family, heritage, race and so on. So if there was a handicap guy in our group, we wouldn't spare him or tread lightly around him, we'd treat him like any one of the other guys.

Now if a handicap guy picked a fight with me, I wouldn't pull any punches either. I wouldn't knock him out of his chair or anything...well maybe I would if he really pissed me off.

I don't really have any problems with people with disabilities as I don't and try not to encounter them. But the one thing that bothers me about them is that it seems they all have some sort of thing or problem about what they are labeled as. Like you have to be careful of what you call them. You say handicapped some old jackass in a wheel chair will say "I'm not handicapped! I'm handi-capable!" You get the same BS when you say "disabled". Alright then, lets compromise, no more euphemisms, you're a ****ing cripple. There. Well thats what they are. They're cripples.

Not that it matters, but I work in retail and have for over sixteen years. So I meet people of different size shape color and handicap all the time. When I was younger I admit I did have a problem treating people in wheelchairs like everyone else, but hell I was young and stupid and just didn't know any better. Now that I am older I pretty much treat everyone the same. But then again it depends on the person. If I know the person and see them on a regular basis, then I'll clown around with them and tease them. But if it is someone new then I tend to be nice and be careful what I say.

Um Scorpinok...my suggestion is to be more clear when you're asking a question, it was really hard to read your question because of all the abbreviations.
But I am nicer to those in wheelchairs, partly because I know that a lot of people make fun of them and I have a family member who many times has to be on a wheelchair because of her chronic illness. Although I am nicer to those in wheelchairs, they too have to be nice to be also, if not I'll be just as snotty as I would with anyone else...but I wouldn't make fun of their disability cause I think thats would be a cheap comeback
