Hard to believe majority of people don't like the show anymore for them to fire Two lead writers, that's just too crazy! Was that necessary, Tim Kring, are you trying to kill the show yourself?

I don't think we fans are THAT unpleased with the show, man.

So, I am curious do you still love Heroes, or you agree that it's poor now to have those two writers fired?

I voted the wrong choice, I should voted "Very Great, but need some Minor improvement though"

I voted for very great but i would say its Good more than great, it does need some improvements but i'm enjoying this season so far. Almost as much as season 1, a lot more than season 2.

Season 3 is good and enjoyable for the most part. but it needs some improvement, as suggested in that Entertainment Weekly article.

I voted it as okay. The show really needs quite a few changes to get back up to awesomeness. First of which, get rid of alot of characters. It's so cluttered lately that every character is essentially a minor character. I appreciate that its an ensemble cast, but I want more episodes like "Company Man".

The problem with that is that they're getting rid of the wrong characters.

Well, Maya's gone, so thats a plus. But Adam left way too soon.

Now, if Mohinder would just die....

Don't even get me started on Adam's death :cmad:

I was going to vote ok... but thinking about it, I had to vote awful.

They haven't learned anything from season two and just started to throw in stupid twists and make the story travel so much faster so there's more action, thinking that it will just clear up any problems.

it's still good it hasn't jumped the shark yet

I can't name a better show can anybody else? I can name a lot of shows I think are close to or equal to, but Heroes is unique to television and we shouldn't forget that. It's not like there are 50 superhero shows on TV. There's Heroes, Smallville, and a few good sci-fi shows here and there.

The show hasn't been that great since season 1. The writers have cluttered it with too many characters, killed off some great characters, and seem to have lost the direction of the show since the finale of the first season. Firing the writers as scapegoats was not the way to go either, considering they have both contributed some great writing on the show.

All it did was signal that the network knows the show isn't doing so well, and they needed to pin the decline on someone.

But really though what are we comparing it to? There aren't a bunch of superhero shows on TV. I enjoy seeing super powered heroes running around on television. I'd hate to see it get canceled.

I still love heroes. I like the focus on the Patrelli family (spelling wrong i'm sure). I also like what they've done with Mohinder, turning him more into a mad scientist...I thought he was pretty boring before this.

I definitely dig the Petrellis. They remind me of Dallas with super powers. Say who is the guy that plays the father?

I don't think I've really liked anything this season. All the plot decisions were terrible,imo...from giving Mohinder powers to having Sylar be the long lost brother of Nathan and Peter.

And I DO think the firing of the writers was justified, the writers haven't been doing their best and its critical for NBC to fix heroes before its REALLY too late. I think the show still can be saved and can be awesome again (even though the charecter development in season 2 and 3 kind of tarnished that)...however it needs to be done quick because they are losing viewers by the week.

I still want to know. What kind of shows are people watching instead? Of course I tend to DVR everything I like. It's not like the old days when you had to pick one show over another.

Ugh, gag... "Dallas with superpowers," thats terrible...

And it's Robert Forster who is playing Arthur Petrelli.

Yes.... because it is one of the few superhero shows on tv... it gets to suck all it wants. Riiiight.

It should be able to be compared to any show on television... not just be the affirmative action show on the list of good tv shows.

Other - It's very bad, but I'm not sure it was Loeb's fault.

I'm hopeful that they will be able to recover and the upcoming "Eclipse" storyline sounds like it has potential, but I'm also not expecting any miracles.

After promoting season 3 pretty heavily down under, they've now moved Heroes to the 10:30pm (on Thursday) time slot, which isn't a very good indication of things to come (although to be fair, Buffy and Angel were on Mondays and Tuesdays respectively at that time and it actually allowed the shows to build a decent fan base down under).

Cheers.

Last night's episode proved exactly why those writers needed to be fired. They devoted an hour to information that could've been revealed in 2 minutes of dialogue (some of which had already been implied fairly heavily), accomplished nothing in the episode, and in doing that episode created MASSIVE plot holes. It was lazy, filler writing at its finest. If you ask me, it is time NBC fires Kring and brings in a new show runner to shape things up.

While the show isnt as great or mind blowing as it was in Season1 I still enjoy it. So I would go with Its Ok. But atleast it has improved from Season2 and is gradually getting better and better. Though I dont think they will ever be able to recapture the brilliantness that was S1.
