So perhaps the only thing more interesting to me than "Heroes" itself right now is the battle between it and "24" every Monday night now.

Ever since it was known that both of these huge shows would be airing at the same time starting last month, I've been very curious as to which show would have more people watching it: the new kid on the block that's been a huge huge hit so far, or the big bully that's been around for 6 years now and has practically never been beaten yet?

Well, starting 3 weeks ago, we're starting to get our answers.

Looks like, so far, "Heroes" is trouncing "24"! And what's even MORE interesing, is that this week, "24" was knocked down to 3rd place by...David Spade?!?! :wow::huh:

Wow.

So I thought I'd make this thread for those like myself, who are interested in how well our show "Heroes" is doing in comparison to the other shows (like the juggernaut that is "24") that air at the same time.

So far, so good! :yay:

Heroes DVD and Second Season, I'm waiting!!!! :)

It should be interesting next week since 24 has a 2 hour event :cwink:

haha yeah they're starting early I guess so they can get a headstart bring it on!

I've been following the ratings too...I actually tune in to Heroes and tivo 24.:woot:

24 doesn't know how to grow anymore, there's some risks that are desperately needed that haven't been taken. Jack Bauer's infallibleness isn't interesting. Quickie president... it just doesn't hit like it used to (off I go to watch it)

But it is good to know Heroes owns.

wouldn't it be cool if they just put something along the lines of a federal agent getting killed and somebody mentioning what a shame it was since he had been working for 24 hours straight?

sweet :woot:

How about Hiro going back in time 24 hours to save a CTU agent from a beating he recieves on his 6th day on the job? :D

Well, to be fair, a lot of people are gonna wait for the DVD of 24 to come out, cause it's better to watch in that format than week by week.

But...umm...couldn't the same be said for "Heroes"?

Guess what? In Canada Heroes is shown at 9, and 24 is shown at 10. On the same channel.

No wonder the UN keeps rating us as the best place to live in in the world.

This coming week I'm taping 24 and watching Heroes "live". So there!

24 was and is not a juggernaut. It may have won Golden Globes and Emmys and finish in the top 20 but American Idol is the only show I would consider a juggernaut. 24 was fourth or third in its first season and only reached first until the fourth season.

The overnights may give it to Heroes but when the dust settles and more info is collected 24 climbs over it. http://www.usatoday.com/life/television/nielsen.htm

They have actually been very very close each week, so far. I think it is keeping either show from making the top 10, although both being in the top 20 is cool. I think NBC will next season will move Heroes to 8 to keep out of the way of MNF and 24 to help it in the ratings. I figure by then Deal or No Deal will have gone like Who wants to be a Millionaire. I like both shows but I have to watch 24 live so I tape Heroes.

And this week's numbers are in:

Even with "24" having a 2-hour Special night, Heroes still kicked Mr. Bauer's butt. I've got to say I'm quite amazed at how well this show has been doing, especially in the face of the competition that it's had.

Congrats goes to "Heroes" again!

Bauer Power!!11!!!!!!

*runs out of thread*

I dont care how the ratings are, 24 is the better show and I will still watch it over Heros.
I will rent Heros on DVD though.:o

It really isn't kicking its butt when it is only beating it by a million viewers. If it was 2 to 1 that be a different story. Both shows are doing great, IMO although I think both shows would have higher ratings if they put them in different time slots.

Who won last night?

Apparently the gap is closing. 24 had 7.9 and Heroes had 8.2
