Release Date: October 24, 2008
Studio: New Line Cinema
Director: Ken Kwapis
Screenwriter: Abby Kohn, Marc Silverstein
Starring: Drew Barrymore, Jennifer Aniston, Ben Affleck, Scarlett Johansson, Jennifer Connelly, Kevin Connolly, Bradley Cooper, Justin Long, Ginnifer Goodwin, Wilson Cruz, Brooke Bloom
Genre: Comedy, Romance

Plot Summary: Based on the best-selling book by Greg Behrendt and Liz Tuccillo.
The Baltimore-set movie of interconnecting story arcs deals with the challenges of reading or misreading human behavior. Jennifer Connelly plays a woman stuck in a tired marriage with Cooper's character. Kevin Connolly, meanwhile, is a man pining after a woman, still not cast, who is having an affair with Cooper.

Goodwin is a young woman obsessed with Kevin Connolly's character who tries to set up accidental meetings with him only to run across his friend, played by Long, who takes her on as a "My Fair Lady" experiment.

Barrymore plays a woman perpetually confused by dating, now more than ever in a culture that is more obsessed with technology than actual human contact.

I laughed twice. Maybe three times. It's a short trailer.

They seem to really be selling the film on who is in it (*doesn't look like Drew Barrymore has anything to do).

looks like a chick flick. which means i'll probably watch it when its on dvd.

Jennifer Goodwin. Probably the only reason to see this movie. I'm such a sucker for that pretty face.

But it's Ginnifer not Jennifer!

I'll watch this for Connelly and Johansson when the dvdrip hits the net.

The answering machine scene was funny! Good cast, i'll probably check it out.

I like the cast, i'll most likely check it out :yay:

What does ''the cat who suggled that monkey'' even mean????

Anyway it seems quite nice, fun chick flick.:yay:

Trailer needs more Drew.

Funny thing... Movie is based on a book that was based on a line in a Sex and the City episode.

A line spoken by Jack Berger, one of Carries beaus. :p :(

I came into this thread because the title tickled my curiosity. Now I want out, but there are bars over the exit door. Damn you, chick flick!

It's got a great cast and looks to have charm, i'll see it on DVD.

So, that's what Ben Affleck does when he's not F'ing Jimmy Kimmel.

I'm guessing this thread goes in here since it's being released in 2008? Not sure, and I didn't see another thread for it.

At any rate, this comedy is based off of the book "He's Just Not That Into You," which I actually own but have only skimmed. The concept is that there are many women out there who think potential love interests are crazy about them, when the guys really aren't interested at all. In this film, "a hard-line advice guy falls for a woman who seeks him out because she can't figure out the men in her life."

This movie will be released October 24, 2008, and stars Jennifer Aniston, Scarlett Johansson, Jennifer Connelly, Bradley Cooper, and Ben Affleck (among others).

Ben Affleck is acting again? I thought he finally gave up and passed the torch to his brother.

So there WAS a thread on this lol. Hunter, please note, this film title does not come up on the "search forum" tool :o

That's b/c there are to many common words in the title, when trying to find the thread you're looking for use the least common word associated with it, for instance i found this thread by using 'Affleck' as the search word. :yay:
