Hey Ultimatum, what the ****?

??? I dont understand whats your point? They took a panel from a comic thats been out for a while.

What the hell is THAT about??? Is that Ultimate Blob?

Apparently Ultimate Blob is eating Ultimate Wasp. Who incidentally is white now I guess, but that's probably the least-wrong thing about that panel.

Storyteller: The point is to express my surprise and distaste upon learning that Ultimatum apparently features the explicit on-panel cannibalization of Ultimate Wasp by Ultimate Blob; an occurence of which I was heretofore unaware.

That part was dope!! I like what they are doing in the ultimate world.

Seriously, did Loeb like read ANY Ultimate comics before he came onboard and destroyed the whole thing???? Since when was the Blob some cannibalized monster?? Where was he portrayed like that? Nowhere. My god how are Bendis and Millar allowing this?!? If i were them i'd be insulted.

he has mentioned and threatend once or twice about eating people

I would not object to Loeb being shot. Not a kill shot mind you, just one that stops him from ever writing or typing again. And maybe one that stops him from talking so he can't dictate either.

What, you didn't know it was kewl for characters to eat other people now? Ultimate Hulk does it, too. Frankly, I think it's about time. I mean, how did we ever know to be scared of villains all these years without the implicit threat of cannibilization?

I think what mainly caught me by surprise was where they took the implicit threat and made it an explicit display of the Wasp's innards. Continuing to demonstrate Loeb's penchant for taking the most crass, shameless elements of Millar's Ultimate Universe work, and managing against all probability to make it even worse.

It is his gift and our curse.

Although, as I type that, I realize that this issue probably sold a ton. :(

A hundred thousand copies at least.

****, maybe even a hundred and fifty.

The key to selling comics is apparently to have as many shocking moments as possible without any regard to actual storytelling.

If I get a chance to write a big Ultimate U event like Ultimatum, I'm going to put a two page spread of 2girl1cup going down superhero style.

Loeb, you just been beat at your own game...

First I ever heard about it. It's a travesty in general, but especially when you consider what we got instead. Simone is only know turning the mess that Heinberg and Picoult made into a readable comic.

That's messed up on both accounts:( Reminds me of two Teen Titans getting eaten by Cujo not to long back.

I'll buy every issue!

And this is how a universe dies

With a terrible terrible story.

It is worth noting that Bill Jemas wanted to keep comics below $2.99, at least ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN, as long as possible. As soon as his influence was purged, prices started going up and now in the midst of a recession are going even higher.

But, yeah, very disgusting. Loeb is twisted and Wasp has no luck. ULTIMATE goes down with a whimper.

It is his gift and our curse.

I don't know what issue this is from, but ULTIMATUM's debut in November sold over 114,000 copies and was the Number One book of that month. It had no effect on the sales of ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN, ULTIMATE FANTASTIC FOUR, or the just-canceled ULTIMATE X-MEN. So if one was thinking the event would boost the line, it hasn't. It just is ending the reality with a disaster, not unlike 2099. :p

I kissed the UMU goodbye a while ago.

It had it's moments(The Tomorrow People,Ellis and Millar's UFF and Ultimates).Great stories on their own and perfect for noobs.

Loeb has the midas touch but instead of gold he turns everythibng he touches into horseS***
