I hope there isn't a second civil war there. That's the last thing they need.

It’s kind of like ongoing divorce proceedings: the Lebanese kids have to choose between religious Dad and secular Mom. The kids who spend more time in the country want to be with Dad; the kids who live in the city want Mom. It’s all the same family, but, the thing is, Mom and Dad don’t want to live under the same roof any more.
