I searched and went back several pages, but didn't see a thread this specifically, so if there is something else we want to use, it can merge, if not, here goes:

So, one of the more interesting developments coming out of AvX is, to me, Hickman's upcoming run on Avengers, where he'll deal with a rather large cast, which is said to include several characters who have never been Avengers before. X-Men editor also recently dropped this tidbit:

"New Mutants" also ends in October, but Lowe promises it isn't the end for these particular characters."I'll just go ahead and spoil it since we're in an X-Men panel -- a couple of characters are going to be in Jonathan Hickman's 'Avengers.'"

So, my question, who else who has never been an Avenger, would you like to see get a shot at this team? I, personally, would like to see Songbird get a shot at the big leagues. She's definitely got the popularity, her inclusion in the last Marvel: Ultimate Alliance game was a welcome surprise that attests to it, and has really grown as a character since the Thunderbolts relaunch after House of M.

Who else?

Well, Cannonball was an Avenger in "The Last Avengers Story," right? Maybe this his move to that team.

Remember when the Avengers would have membership meetings and vote on a new 7 person squad.....? They would put a team together, tell some stories, fight standard Avenger villains or even a few new ones then after a couple of years do it all over again. I miss those days. I don't know if this is a glorified version of Avengers Spotlight or just a glorified version of Marvel Comics Presents with only Avenger and X-Men members. I have no clue what Hickman is trying to accomplish here....

As far as I'm concerned, Uncanny Avengers is the #1 Avenger title for the franchise.

Isn't Uncanny Avengers following the formula of X-Men and Avengers teaming up on one team too?

I'll probably give this a try. My natural inclination is always to read any Avengers series that are going on. I only subtract the ones that suck. Granted, that's meant I've read very few Avengers series regularly for the past several years, but now that Bendis is finally leaving them, I'll be trying just about all the series out.

Hey look! It's that thar Cannonball guy!

I didnt like the black instead of red look in Iron Man before. But it looks good in that pic.

There's some serious, like, 8-point perspective going on here.
It's weird how the first cover doesn't really seem to flow into the others.
Cap's standing straight, but by time you pan over to the right, the city's at a 45 degree angle in the background
The reference photo for this must've been a fish-eyed lens
It's impressive, but a bit jarring to see as a panoramic comic book cover

I know I'm in the minority, but I'm happy to see Wolverine and Spider-Man still there. And Carol Danvers. Don't like Thor's costume or Black Iron Man, but this team has me pumped. And yeah, those perspectiveS are WAY off.

Haha, nobody knows what the f*** Thor's new costume is supposed to look like. :funny:

I love how Thor's costume there only has "armor" on the anterior portions of his limbs - because who would ever attack the unarmored posterior area?

Bikini armor has worked for decades, Thor has taken fashion tips from his female Avengers!

Bikini armor generates a forcefield of bonerific proportions that Thor's outfit, quite frankly, lacks. :o

Cap's costume has been all effed up since NOW was announced. Supposedly Dan Slott said the Spider-Man costume change is going to take place after ASM #700 in December so a lot of the covers aren't going to reflect the supposed change.

I'm still trying to verify if Slott actually said that or if somebody's talking out their ass.

It's about as inconsistent as the New 52's multiple characters seams. JRJR draws it one way, this artist another, Cassaday does his own thing...

I don't see cap suit being hat bad, I agree thor's is a big mess in those covers. The other ones been better.

If that Avenger is IKARIS look out for how awesome this book will be.

If it's Ikaris, he's missing a circle. Could be that new Nova kid, but he'd also be missing a circle.

The armor's only ever been a fashion statement. We've seen quite a few panels since Coipel introduced it where it's gotten destroyed yet Thor's skin is unbroken underneath it.

No, the real offense with this new costume is not that the armor placement is stupid; it's that it's just flat-out ugly.

If any Eternal needs to be a member of the Avengers (again) it's Sersi. Bring back Sersi!

I know it's only a fashion statement, Corp, but it could at least be a fashion statement that makes sense.

And you could have at least also quoted my bikini armor line. :o

Sersi is dead right now though...or at least stuck in eternal unlife.

Ikaris is who it looks like to me as I said in the other thread. I think his costume only had two balls in the last eternals series.

I wonder if he'll reveal that the Avengers are a actually a secret order that has existed in one form or another since ancient Egypt.

Cleopatra was the original Scarlet Witch, her power was the ability to **** Roman dictators :o
