I live with my mother and father. We have a half-pit, half-black lab. My father raised him from a pup into the goofball he is today. All that dog wants is to play, gobble up treats, and get scratched behind the ears. Not to sound cliche, but I have my doubts that he'd hurt a fly.

True, I'm more of a cat person. But our dog wins the heart of any cat person who stays in our home. I've seen it over and over again. He's painfully lovable. If you're on the couch at night, he'll come in and stare at you for a while before working up the nerve to hop up beside you. If you're cooking dinner he'll come in and sniff out every ingredient that you used and silently ask to be given a special treat. When you let him outside to potty, then open the door a bit later to let him back in, he'll run inside and ski across the kitchen like the Fresh Prince.

Do you own a dog? What is he/she like?

I thought there was some dog serial killer on the loose.

Is that a man who kills dogs, or a serial killer who is a dog?

"A veterinarian once tried to test me. I ate his liver with some fava beans and then drank out of the toilet."

Weeks ago there was a thread about a dog mauling a child. I made a poorly-worded post... or at least I could've worded it better for the Community demographic, if you catch my drift.

My point was that dogs killing people are stories we should just get used to. Because our species is stuck with canines. I never actually argued for their culling or any crap like that.

I like the latter. You sold it for me. Book it for Christmas 2016.

My roommate has a female rottweiler and she is the sweetest dog. If there is anyone near the door she gives a bark to let us know. If you come in the house with one of us she loves you. You try coming in by yourself and she doesn't know you it will not end well for you.

We have a dog that showed up one day and rather than take it to the pound to eventually be destroyed we kept him. He's just shy of 100 pounds, thinks he's a puppy and will try to sit in your lap. He's roughly the size and shape of a Rottweiler but is a mixed breed with what appears to be a German Shephard.

Is it strange to be ignored by a dog? I've never experienced that before: usually if you engage with a dog in a friendly manner, it will greet you as a friend or, if is senses you as a threat or has been abused, will bark at you and/or react in fear.

My boss brought her dog to the office the other day, and I let him sniff my hand so I can pet him, and he takes one sniff, and just casually walks in the opposite direction. It's funny but strange. :funny:

There hasn't been this much confusion since the teenage strangler.

I've gotten that with older dogs. They'll sniff your hand and walk away or sniff and bark. Geezers. :oldrazz:

I have a pit/bassett mix. He is like the living incarnation of snuggles.
