Part 1.
(Warning: Some mature language )

EXT. CEMETERY - DAY

DUNCAN MACLEOD, 35, IMMORTAL, stands in front of a tombstone.

Duncan: Sorry I wasn't there for you. Sorry that I made you immortal in the first place. Should have just let you lived a mortal life and watched you grow old. I wish I could gave grew old with you.
(beat)
Instead, I made you hate life. Made you hate something you once loved.
(beat)
Just wish I could have stopped Kell in time.

He lifts his head up and looks around.

STEVEN R. KIRK, 27, IMMORTAL, walks towards Duncan.

Duncan: We haven't met. Friend or foe?
Kirk: I let you decide that. Nice speech you just gave. Let me guess...mourning over a little *****?
Duncan: Foe it is.
Kirk: You're smart.
Duncan: If it's a fight you want...
Kirk(interrupting): Holy Ground. I know, don't tell me the rules!
Duncan: What do you want?
Kirk: You need to ask? The games is still on, so I want your head!
Duncan: Some other time when we're not on holy ground.
Kirk: We can step off right now.
Duncan: Not in the mood.
Kirk: Not in the mood? What if some other immortal was to challenge you later today on your way home?
Duncan: This discussion is over.
Kirk: If you want Joe to die, then I guess it is.
Duncan: How do you know about Joe?
Kirk: Not all watchers are good. I'm told you know that though.
Duncan: Who the hell are you?
Kirk: Steven R. Kirk!
Duncan(Scottish Accent): I'm Duncan...
Kirk(interrupting): MacLeod of the Clan MacLeod. I know. Once I'm through with you and your little friend, I suppose I'll start with your Clan! Wait! Sorry, you already started killing fellow Clan members.

Duncan takes out his katana from his trench coat.

Kirk: Not on holy ground. See ya around.

Kirk walks off.

Duncan: ****ing ass!

The opening idea is good, I'm sorry i just don't see the dialog reading that way.

Part 2.

INT. JOE'S BAR - NIGHT

JOE DAWSON, 50'S, gray hair, stands behind the bar.

METHOS, mid 30's, IMMORTAL, sits in front of the bar.

Methos: You don't think the time is near?

He looks towards the front door.

Methos(CONT'D): Hopefully the person is friendly. Rather drink than fight.

Duncan enters the bar. A look of concern on his face.

Joe: What's the matter?

Duncan: Tell me what you know about Steven R Kirk.

He walks towards the bar and stands next to Methos.

Methos: Nice to see you, too.

Joe: Where did you meet him?

Duncan: Doesn't matter. Just want info on him.

Joe: Ok. Steven R Kirk was born in 1835 in Alabama. He was killed in the Civil War.

Methos: And he is immortal.

Joe: He wears either black or gray outfits and uses a Civil War era sword.

Duncan: What about kills?

Methos: He's been very busy. Always challenging immortals.

Duncan: How many?

Methos: A nice even two hundred. If he was born a few hundred years earlier, he'd be another Jacob Kell. You alright, Duncan?

Duncan: I'm fine.

Methos looks at him.

Methos: Coming in here demanding information on a evil immortal. Not even taking the time to ask us how we are. Yep, you sound alright.

Duncan: Don't have time for this.

Methos: Doesn't seem like you've had for a while.

Duncan glances at him, then walks out the front door.

Methos looks at Joe.

Methos(CONT'D): Wager to guess what's wrong with Duncan?

Joe: Could be a number of things.

Methos: I have the time.

Joe: Unlike you I don't.

Methos: Being sarcastic Joe, or are you dying?

Joe: Us mortals die a little bit each and every day.
(beat)
Either he's upset Anna left him or Connor is taking over him.

Part 3

Methos: He knew going into a relationship with a mortal that the question would pop up. He shouldn't be too shocked she left him for that.

Joe: They could have adopted.

Methos: She wanted her own baby. And as for Connor taking over Duncan...it is possible. But wouldn't it have happened earlier?

Joe: I don't know, maybe. Only thing clear is that he's no longer the man we once knew.
(beat)
What were we talking about before he showed up?

Methos: Memory is starting to slip.

Joe: Not that old, yet.

Methos: The current situation in Europe. I know it's just there, but the source is said to appear when the world is in chaos.

Joe: And it's just Europe that's in chaos.

Methos: But what if it spreads?

Joe: You really think that legend is real? Hell, most watchers and immortals don't even know about it. The ones that do think it's nothing but a story.

Methos: Doesn't seem like it is.

Joe: Well, I guess only time will tell.

Methos: At one point you thought I was a legend. A myth.

Joe: You got me there. Suppose you have a few friends looking into this?

Methos: In Europe.

Joe: Leaving anytime soon?

Methos: Sometime after another beer.

Joe: Tab is starting to pile up.

Methos: Did I tell you about the time...

Joe(interrupting): Heard it, Methos. Heard all of your stories.

Methos: I'm over five thousand years old. Couldn't have told you all of the good ones.

Part 4

INT. KIRK'S LOFT - NIGHT

The loft is filled with Civil War era antiques.

Steven R. Kirk relaxes in a chair with a glass of whiskey in his hand.

Kirk: Nothing more comfortable than a nice soft chair and some good old whiskey.

He takes a zip from the glass.

Kirk(CONT'D): Cold whiskey. I can't wait until I am the most powerful immortal alive. The final one! The winner of the game and ruler of the world!
(beat)
But one step at a time. Next time I see MacLeod I shall challenge him to a fight. Whether he wants to or not.

He finishes the whiskey and puts the glass on a small table next to the chair.

A cell phone rings. He reaches into his pants pocket and takes out a ringing cell phone. He looks at it and then answers it.

Kirk(CONT'D): What do you want?

Havelock(V.O): We need to talk in the morning.

Kirk: About what?

Havelock(V.O): You know what I mean.

Kirk: If it's what I think it is, then I have no desire to discuss it.

Havelock(V.O): Just meet me tomorrow at the Sanctuary.

Havelock hangs up.

EXT. SANCTUARY - MORNING

Kirk's car pulls up in front of the Sanctuary.

INT. SANCTUARY - MEETING ROOM - CONTINUOUS

Steven R. Kirk walks into the room.

Kirk: I came all this way and no breakfast?

HAVELOCK, mid 30's, sits in a chair behind a oval table. He stands up wearing a brown suit.

Havelock: Didn't come here to eat.

Kirk: Thought you would fix me or us some breakfast considering the time.

Havelock: We can't have you kill the rest of the immortals. There's less of your kind today than there was a hundred years ago. The game must go on!

Kirk: Quick to the point. In the short time I've known you, you are always straight forward.

Havelock: After you've killed MacLeod, you won't go after anymore immortals!

Kirk: And what are you going to do, if I keep hunting my kind?

Havelock: Put you to sleep.

Kirk: Just like your ex-boss did with Duncan? Like to see you try!

Havelock: Don't test me.

Part 5

INT. DUNCAN'S APARTMENT - LIVING ROOM - MORNING

Duncan sits in a chair holding a picture frame.

ON PICTURE FRAME

A picture of Duncan and Anna at their wedding.

BACK TO SCENE

Duncan(sighs): Wish I could have given you a child. Would have kept us together and made us both happy.

He lays the picture frame in the chair and stands up.

INT. DUNCAN'S APARTMENT - KITCHEN - CONTINUOUS.

Duncan walks into the kitchen. He walks to the fridge and opens the door. He reaches in and takes out a beer bottle, and closes the door.

Duncan(CONT'D): Wonder if Methos drinks this early?

INT. METHOS HOTEL ROOM

Methos sits on the edge of a bed on a cell phone. Behind him lays a empty breakfast tray and a newspaper.

Methos: I assume this is important, Zai?

Zai(V.O): Yes, why else would I call you?

Methos: To ask how I'm doing? To ask me to buy you a souvenir? Maybe...

Zai(V.O, interrupting): I'm going to search for the location of the Source!

Methos: Anyone tagging along with you?

Zai(V.O): Going alone. Since Europe is in the trash, I believe the Source must be somewhere here in Europe.

Methos: Just an educated guess, I see.

Zai(V.O): There are a few locations I have in mind to go to, that may be where the Source is at.

Methos: Mind sharing them?

INT. DUNCAN'S APARTMENT - LIVING ROOM - DAY

Duncan lays passed out in a chair. Several beer cans lay on the floor next to the chair.

INT. FLOWER STORE - DAY (Flashback)

ANNA, late 20's, stands in front of a display of roses.

Duncan walks up to her.

Duncan: Beautiful, aren't they?

Anna: Yes, they quite are.

She turns to him.

Anna(CONT'D): Could say the same to you.

Duncan: The same goes for you, too.

Anna: I'm Anna. You are?

Duncan: Duncan. Duncan MacLeod.

Part 6

EXT. THEATER - NIGHT (Flashback)

Anna and Duncan walk out of the theater.

Duncan: Again, I'm sorry about you paying. Thought I left my place with my wallet.

Anna: It's ok. Just don't make it a habit.

Duncan: A habit? Does this mean you want to go out again?

Anna: Of course. You were nice and charming tonight.

Duncan: Were?

Anna: Are. You knew what I meant.

EXT. SIDEWALK - NIGHT - CONTINUOUS

Duncan and Anna walk down the sidewalk side-by-side.

Duncan: We can head back to my place, so I can grab my wallet before going out to get a bite.

Anna: On our next date. I have a few things to take care of at home.

Duncan: Not a problem. Any idea's of where to have dinner for our next date?

Anna: Since I chose the movie, I let you pick out the place.

Duncan: Fair enough.

Anna: If you don't mind, what is it you do for a living?

Duncan: Sell antiques. You?

Anna: I do a variety of things. At the moment I'm a secretary.

Duncan: Attend college?

Anna: Some. What about you?

Duncan: You're kidding? You don't need to take any college to sell antiques.

Anna: Worth asking. So, what's Scotland like?

Duncan (Scottish Accent): Very beautiful. You should take a vacation there sometime.

Her jaw drops.

Anna: Now why do you speak with an American accent?

Duncan: Well, I don't have to. Guess I could speak with my native accent. Suppose since I've lived here for such a long time, that I feel more comfortable speaking in a American voice.

INT. DUNCAN'S APARTMENT - LIVING ROOM - CONTINUOUS

Duncan wakes up.

Part 7

INT. JOE'S BAR - NIGHT

Joe turns off the lights and walks to the front door. It opens before he touches the knob!

Joe(startled): We're close, pal!

Steven R. Kirk walks inside and closes the door behind him.

Kirk: Ooooh, I don't think so, Joe.

Joe: If it's a beer you want, you can go somewhere else.

Kirk: Beer? I want you!

Joe: Kirk?!

Kirk: In the flesh!

Joe: Let me guess, you're going to kidnap me, so Duncan will come after me and fight you?

Kirk: Not the first time this has happened? Well, just turn on the lights so I can gut you this instant. And don't try anything funny.

Joe walks to the light switch and flips the lights on.

Joe: Don't think it will be wise for you to murder me.

Kirk: How come?

Joe: You don't want to fight Duncan when he's angry.

Kirk: More of a challenge.

INT. DUNCAN'S APARTMENT - KITCHEN

Duncan stands next to a counter and opens a beer can.

The phone rings on the counter to his right. He puts down the beer can and walks to the phone. He picks it up.

Duncan: Hello, this is Duncan.

Kirk (V.O): Meet me tomorrow at noon at the old...

Duncan(interrupting): Kirk! If you lay a hand on anyone I care about...

Kirk(V.O, interrupting): Don't interrupt me! I'm the villain here! Not you, boyscout! Interrupt me once more and Joe here will meet a quick and painful end!
(beat)
Now that I have your attention, I want to fight you. Tomorrow at noon, at the old train station. Joe will be there unharmed...until I take your head that is!

Duncan: What old station?

Kirk(V.O): There's more than one? The one closer to your place. Oh, and if you are one second late, just one...Joe is dead.

Kirk hangs up.

Part 8

EXT. OLD TRAIN STATION - DAY

Joe is handcuffed to a flag pole. Kirk stands beside him. He glances at his watch.

Kirk: Few more minutes. You'd think he'd make it here early.

Joe: He'll be here to kill you.

Kirk: Oh, he'll be here sooner or later, but I will be taking his head. You know I have more quickenings than him.

Joe: He took out Kell and he had way more than you!

Kirk: Fluke.

Kirk turns his head. His eyes scan the area. Duncan walks into the train station.

Duncan: Here early, so let's settle this right now.

Kirk: Been waiting on you.

Kirk turns around and punches Joe in the nose!

Duncan: YOU'LL REGRET THAT! This is between us!

Kirk(smiles): I'm the bad guy here. I do whatever I want.

He takes out his Civil War sword from underneath his trench coat.

Duncan pulls out his katana from his trench coat. He removes the coat.

Kirk takes off his trench coat.

Both men charge at each other. They swing their swords and both swords clang against each other as Kirk and Duncan meet.

Kirk swings his sword at Duncan, but Duncan blocks each attack with his katana. He kicks Kirk in the stomach sending him to the ground.

He darts up, nearly avoiding a blow from the katana. He quickly blocks a second from Duncan and shoves him away.

He twirls his sword before Duncan charges him. He ducks the katana and slashes him in the back of the right knee.

Duncan blocks a combination of attacks from Kirk kneeling on one knee, then cuts him on the left hand.

He stands up and swings the katana at Kirk's head, but he leans back just avoiding the blade. Duncan spots this and kicks him in the chest, knocking him onto the ground.

Kirk quickly stands up and barely avoids a cut to the stomach from Duncan. He retreats, blocking several attacks from Duncan's katana with his sword. Kirk ducks a would-be beheading, then darts up and slashes at Duncan's head. Duncan ducks the sword and thrusts the katana towards Kirk's stomach.

He side-steps to the right, but the katana still pierces him as he moves to avoid it. He grabs the side of his stomach with one hand, then swings his sword with one hand at Duncan's chest.

Duncan easily blocks the blade with the katana, then knocks it out of Kirk's hand. Kirk quickly acts and tackles Duncan with both arms, sending them both to the hard ground.

Kirk punches him in the left eye. He stands up and dashes to his fallen sword.

Duncan rolls onto his stomach, then begins to stand up.

Kirk picks up his sword and charges at Duncan.

Duncan stands up and blocks a one-two combination with his katana, then kicks Kirk in the left knee. He falls to one knee, but still thrusts his sword at Duncan.

Duncan easily blocks a couple of one-handed attacks from Kirk.

Kirk thrusts the sword at the mid-section of Duncan, but he spins out of the way, and beheads him with one-clean stroke from the katana!

Kirk's sword drops to the ground.

Lightning strikes Duncan! Then another bolt!

Joe watches on as Duncan receives Kirk's quickening.

Part 9

INT. JOE'S BAR - NIGHT

Joe stands in front of the bar, next to Duncan who sits on a stool.

Duncan: I'm leaving.

Joe: You save my life and now you are going away? Where to?

Duncan: Eastern Europe.

Joe: What's so special about Eastern Europe?

Duncan: Watching the news and there's a lot of chaos there. I think I can help.

Joe: Alone or with law enforcement?

Duncan: You know me.

He looks at Joe.

Duncan(CONT'D): What do you think?

He stands up.

Duncan(CONT'D): Take care of yourself, Joe.

END.

Thoughts?

IMO, I feel...what I've written is so-so. Not bad in some parts, but...not good in others. Just hard for me to write for Duncan. Kirk...I was thinking of Kell when writing for him, Joe and Methos weren't that hard to write for, Methos being the easiest one imo.
