Seriously, how can you NOT be excited for Jennifer Lynch's Hisss, which features the beautiful Indian star Mallika Sherawat as a shapeshifting snake woman based on an ancient Eastern myth. Today we got our hands on the final, approved and downright sexy teaser trailer, along with an insane new image from the film making its rounds at Cannes. What does a snake woman who just had dinner look like? Read on and see. Visual effects for Hisss were be handled by Precinct 13's Robert Kurtzman, director of Wishmaster and The Rage, among others.

To think this movie has been inspired from a cheesy ass 80's Bollywood film called Nagin (literarry female snake).

More from wikipedia:

Background/Production

The film was shot simultaneously in English and Hindi. Famed special effects designer Robert Kurtzman was responsible for developing the look of the Snake Woman in the film. The film was shot in the jungle of Kerala, India.

Nice to see some fresh, original horror. It's an independent film to boot

I really liked the trailer.

Reminded me of Sssssss (well duh!).

looks really good.

The director (directress:huh:) is the daughter of David Lynch btw.

Looks surprisingly good, scary & wierd..

Proof that foreigners make the best Bollywood movies [Slumdog Millionaire]...
Also, being a Metal Gear fan, I can't help it... SNAKE? SNAKE! SNNNAAAKKKEEE!!

Anyway. I would love to see more horror films like this from the big studios. Hell you are supposed to root for the monster in this one. Instead we have crap like the new Jason movies, My Bloody Valentine and the upoming Nightmare on Elm Street remake

Hell, it might even be Malika Sherawat's [The snake-ette] one shot at true stardom

When I read this I was like "wow...corny"...but the trailer was actually kind of creepy and it does look original and different.
