Guys I'm turning 18 tommorrow! I will officially be an adult.... and I'm going to comic con. But wow I'm getting old... ALso this means I have to do something big and illegal before I become an adult

Oh and as a word of caution... your charged as an adult for illegal activities more around 16 than 18. ((though I suppose you could use this as your last chance to try and illegally buy porn/cigs/lotto tickets/ect...))

But, actually eighteen is not an adult just yet. You've got two more years until 20. And then another year until you're legal. At least that's how it works in America. I would say 18 is "young adult" though which carries on for the next couple of years. 20 years old now and still don't consider myself an adult, hell, neither do a lot of college students I know. Nothing really changes, other than moving away from home and going to the final schooling (if you don't plan on graduate).

I'm 20. I work a regular job, go to school, pay my bills, buy my own food, ect. I consider myself closer to an adult than a kid though I most definately wouldn't say I'm all the way there. Maybe next year when I move far enough from my parents they can't drop in anytime they want to like now.

oh I will! It's just so awesome because it's like turn 18, then go to comic con then when I get back I have a friend who quit school and joined the army and he's coming back to visit and I'm on school vacation to top it all off!

wow 18. Don't really know what the big deal is. I felt the same when I was 17 as I did when I turned 18. Maybe the biggest difference is that now you can vote. Oh, and if you get arrested you'll be tried as an adult and not minor. Seriously, I wish I had a fraction of your excitement back then as you have now.
