Sorry... didn't mean it in a negative way. I love things like this but its alot of money for something to stand looking pretty on my shelf. :woot:

But I really think I'm going to get this one.

Yeah I agree. My partner had a fit when I told her how much Batty and Nicholson's Joker were going to cost. But... Still... I must have them! :cwink:

Any idea when these will ship? I've had one on preorder since it was announced and I've started to get anxious :hrt:

Yeah I have it on preorder from bigbadtoystore and that's what they say as well.

Things are looking up though, "Coming soon" according to HT's facebook page, and they included this photo,

If you buy from a dealer then you will have to get the Joker too. They are a set:

    http://www.alteregocomics.com/Hot-T...s-The-Joker-1-6-Scale-DX-Figure-Set.html#zoom

The only way you could get just one is evilBay. Either way you should hurry, this will not last and it will go up in price.

    Since 2005.

MAYBE in 2008 but there certainly wasn't anything practical about the Begins suit. It was basically the same as the '89 except it had 16 years to borrow from with refinements and fake, sculpted armor plates. Rubber is rubber, a rubber cowl is a rubber cowl. Nothing practical about it. Just because you over explain what it supposedly can do or where it came from doesn't mean it is what it is. It's just as fake as any of the other Batman suits. Nomex survival suit and "memory cloth" my butt. We have "projectile firing gauntlet blades" in TDK, I'm surprised we haven't seen practical, rocket firing bat cowl ears.

The POINT is that if you had enough money and the drive ANYTHING is possible.

And even though I love Butron's Batman, Nolan's Batman is a hole hell of alot more practical.

Right becuase projectile firing weapons DON'T exsit. :whatever:

Hopefully I'll get this figure sometime this year when I have a little extra cash. Hopefully Hot Toys will do Batman (Returns), Catwoman and the Penguin.

This thing looks unbelievably awesome. A work of art with a lot of care put into it. Can't wait for mine to arrive.

I bit the bullet... As much as I love The Joker one, Batman just looks much cooler.

    Expensive but hopefully worth it.

Is it me, or did Hot Toys botch the "tagline" on the packaging?

They put "Only one will claim the light."

Wasn't it originally (on the prelim Batman poster artwork for the '89 film) "Only one will claim the night." ...?

Yes it was - all I can assume is it's a pun relating to the bat signal.

Sweet mother of GOD... Mikey1974, I love you. :hrt:

EDIT: Btw... does anyone know any other stores in the UK where yuo can pre-order the 89 figure?

I'm hearing that Forbidden Planet is not all that reliable.

My mind races at the prospect of a Pfeiffer Catwoman figure. The others will no doubt be good but that will be a must buy. When the Anne Catwoman figure is released I'll have them together.:hrt:

The Hot Toys FB page just put up a tonnnnn of new pics of the Keaton figure. And with the announcement of the Returns licensing it looks like I'll be adding a 2nd Keaton Batman to my collection, awesome

Love the '89 Keaton but the Returns Keaton can be even more tempting

Definitely. They're both different enough though I can justify buying both. I love both costumes.
