Hot Toys The Comedian

That's...actually really terrifying. But cool.

And I'm very happy this line didn't get discontinued.

Looks great so far, but either his legs are too big, or his upper body is too small.

(Is it acceptable to dig up old threads? Apologies if it is not.)

So am I the only one bothered that Hot Toys got the Comedian's teeth wrong?

Jeffrey Dean Morgan's got these front teeth that are forward a bit and the rest are at this inward-leaning angle, but the head sculpt looks like he's wearing dentures. Not pleased.

I'm also slightly annoyed that every single photo from Hot Toys's site shows the figure with a blank yellow badge instead of one with a smiley face.

i'll be honest with you, with Hot Toys' work (including their awesome Joker figures) that's just nitpicking right there.

But the teeth are RIGHT THERE. It's a major feature. It feels like they didn't even look at any reference photos but instead gave him perfectly straight teeth which don't exist in the natural world.

And they're white, so you'll always notice them. And think about them. Constantly.

The rest of it looks completely fantastic, however.

i believe in constructive critism but in geekdom, there's always a limit. haha

I'm not even a geek.

No really! I'm so totally not.

But c'mon! He's got dentures in! Dentures, man!

*whine*

FINE, apparently I'm the only one bothered, never mind.

we're all geeks.

geeks are the ones who like comics/video games/movies/etc who are socially acceptable. a dork is a person who is just clumsy or kinda awkward and a nerd is a combo of the two but without the 'socially acceptable part'.
