I have the utmost respect for John Carpenter, his films have had a profound impact on my life. But Mr. Carpenter has been on his deathbed for the past fifteen years and sounds like he's going to die from the big "C" any day now. Him directing Spider-man 4 is beyond insulting, let alone an asinine idea. Raimi was a fine choice for Spider-man given his work on Darkman. Sam the man screwed the pooch when he decided to cash in and join the Hollywood system. But who could blame him???
