That was a really interesting, dark, and quite original and new take on a superhero movie, i really liked the fact that the Ghost Rider there was essentially the most evil Zarathos ever seen, as its themes were essentially the vengeance and the innocence, taken to extreme.. that was a take we saw few times in the comic book, they should explore it more...

They can take those aspects of it and use that for Vengeance, as that perfectly fits him.

If i remember correctly MarvelMovies had the script, and for a little time posted its first 5 or 10 pages on his site, can't remember if they were taken down after that by request by sony... It had a strange ending, but there were terrific action/horror scenes...like when GR turns against the female coptrotagonist because she's killed a guy=>guilty.... or like when he ripped through a 18 wheeler engine "like an acethilene torch" to reach the terrorized guy inside the cabin....also in that script GR actually killed, burned crisp or maimed every guilty person at sight...very scary and extremely high bodycount. If i remebrer well there was Skinner as the majorvillain... but the hellfire on the skull formed the flickering Blaze face in anguish, i didn't like that thing... the faithful look of the actual movie is much, much better...

I didn't think the Goyer draft I read was worth being the Ghost Rider movie, and I didn't like his version of the character. But, if the GR scenes were rewritten, I did think it would've been a decent few issue arc in the comic.

A version of the best scene in that script did make it into the movie.

The idea for an HBO series is cool. Though I don't think they would need to use Goyers script. MSJ's got the in with The Preacher series, so if that did well he could pitch them this. I'm sure when that comes out we'll see how dark he can go. Each season could be about another Ghostrider. One season could be about Caretaker. They could do one of Ghostrider 2099. I think that character's story would be awesome to see too. I loved the Spawn series and a similar Ghost Rider series would rock.
