Somehow that's true. You cant help but care for a woman if you can connect with them.

Why would I want to?

I have a good paying job, my own apartment, and I'm looking for another car to replace the one that got wrecked 3 years ago.

I don't see the benefit of "curing" my apathy

Apathy may not entirely be your fault. If you're not around people that practice humility, gratefulness and charity, it's difficult to incubate these virtues in yourself.

Being aware of the emptiness, as you are, is the first step.
