I was just wondering what opinions are about Bart Allen (Impulse) assuming the mantle of the Flash.
Same here. I prefer Wally retired. Good ending to a great run (pun intended).BrianWilly said:I don't mind it.

As a fan of the Flash...we had at least many years to get used to Wally as a hero: first as Kid-Flash then eventually as the Flash. Which worked....
But when Impulse first arrived, we all got used to him being.....IMPULSIVE. Now after he's shot in the knee....reads the library......wear the Kid Flash costume....and now just like that he's the Flash????
DC's trying too hard to force him down our throats.....
This new genre at DC is unsuitable for the fan population, as they choose more to listen to themselves rather then the fan population.
They seem to lack tapping into the pulse of the Flash-Fan population.
Well, l hope they try harder with the next few issues....otherwise Barts run on the Flash is going to be the SHORTEST one ever.

wtf do you mean shortest run? they just get another writer to replace the current ones. the new genre at DC has always been there, since they replaced barry with wally west, dont you think the same shnit you are *****ing about now, was said by barry allen fans?
most of the shnit your saying sounds really contrived.
face it, bart is the new flash.

In my last post I said,
"Well, l hope they try harder with the next few issues....otherwise Barts run on the Flash is going to be the SHORTEST one ever."
This means that DC better improve their writing and story telling otherwise, this new incarnation of the Flash might be cancelled before it reaches its 100th issue.
Is that clear enough?

Indeed. But I imagine he'll pop up again sometime.Darthphere said:No, sorry it wasnt. Wally deserved much better than just "Yeah, he got lost in the Speedforce" garbage. And never get mentioned again.

incubat said:this might be a stupid question, but, what exactly did happen to wally and why is bart the new flash?
wikipedia said:In Infinite Crisis #4, Wally, Jay, and Bart joined together to stop the rampage of Superboy-Prime in Smallville, using their top speeds to hinder him. During the battle, Wally seemed to turn into energy and started to disappear. He was able to appear to Linda (his "lightning rod"). During his goodbye to her, she grabbed onto him with their infant children in her arms and all four vanished.
Apparently Linda, Wally and their twins are still alive in an unknown dimension, from which only Bart Allen has managed to return. Bart tells the other heroes that Wally is "just taking some time away" with Linda to watch his twins grow. For now, no one knows if he is able to, or even wants to, return to Earth.

Sentry2005 said:Problem is, this isn't Bart. It's some kind of... perversion. It's like Bart stopped being who he was and merged with Wally in some freaky speed force sponsored badly dubbed porn sort of way.
