well we all know that it's always been Lois and Clark that were meant for each other.....but with the way the creators of smallville have literally "amped" up the romance between Clark and Lana....how is it possible in this world that Clark would end up with Lois if Lana were to still stay alive while he becomes superman....I mean people say that the series will end with clark probably breaking up with lana (most likely in mutual terms) to begin his training or start saving the world as superman; which requires him to leave her...if that's the case...why does he (again I say in this universe) go for Lois while fulfilling his destiny when he left Lana presumably for it?...it's like he's going to contradict himself just by doing so...why can't him and Lana still be a couple while he's superman or when he comes back after training...I'm no supporter of Clana by any means..i'm just finding it hard as to seeing the reason why Clark and Lana breaks up is because of his destiny while he later goes on with Lois....

judging by Lana's character this season..the only way I can presume that they'll give to a logical explanation as to why Clark leaves lana and moves on to Lois eventually is because Lana is too consumed by her hate towards the Luthers. You'd think that way we've seen the "Clana" relationship throughout the years..that to your normal average viewer who has no idea that Clark will end up with Lois later would think that he ends up with Lana or their relationship becomes similar towards how Richard Donner portrayed the superman/lois relationship

i think they made it clear the other night, that eventually she would leave him, just as Martha Kent at the end of last season

Thankfully the average viewer knows that this relationship is doomed and is just either happy for every moment they spent together or pulling their hair out that they still are together.

My hopes are that Clark will eventually realise that Lana is just not right for him - just like in every other incarnation - and will move on to fulfill his destiny. By now he should have left both Lana and Smallville behind to train and travel the world and sometimes 8-10 years in the future return to become Superman and through his reporter's identity meet up with Lois and fall in love the moment he laid eyes on her....

So... in other words you're saying that Clark goes away and forgets Lois up to the point where he can sort of see her again for the first time and fall in love?

Uhm, no... I was just reciting mythos Lois and Clark. I think he will go away and probably when he comes back she won't be the same. She'll already be the star reporter, not a teenage girl with rebelious tendencies. And he won't be the same any more either. He'll she her through diffrent eyes.

Maybe even Superman has to go with the simple male outlook of maybe Lois is just a better lay...

Star-Spangled bikini. That's all it took. When he's comforting himself on lonely nights in the barn, it's that image that pops into his head, not Lana.
