But, on the other hand you do have to suspend reality when watching a superhero movie.

If "Bonesaw McGraw" can take several kicks to the face and remain conscious, or if a green formula can give a man super strength and make him nuts, or a man can be made entirely out of sand and still be alive etc. Then a man who has A.I. tentacles fused into his central nervous system is somehow able to withstand Spider-Man's pulled punches without losing consciousness.
