The other day a certain anal narc was going to report someone in the Lost thread, because they asked if anyone had a certain Episode of lost. This anal narc said if anyone links it they are reporting them. My question is how is downloading T.V. shows illegal? If you have, & pay for cable. Downloading it is pretty much the same as recording it right?

It;s called piracy. And if I ever see someone do it I will break the CD/DVD/tape on their face. **** you and **** anyone who steals from artists.:cmad:

Your cable company indirectly pays "artists."

Your internet provider does not. Hence, why it is illegal to download television shows and other media on the internets...

First thank you for actually answering. Instead of being very sheepesque.:whatever:

But since you actually have cable. That show is getting your money even if you don't watch it. What I am saying is that if you miss a show, & download it from Torrent, or you want to see the show again. Then what is so wrong with downloading it, & watching it again.

Unless your cable provider has a service that provides it, you are not entitled to download and view missed shows or movies whenever you want. When you use the internet to download pirated media, you are using a service that you are not entitled to.

A better question is does anyone in this thread have a neilson box on top of their TV? If not, the shows you watch doesn't get counted in the ratings. Which is like watching the show for free anyway.
