I am on a search for a wireless Gamecube controller that I can use with the wii. However, since Nintendo no longer makes the Wavebird, it's impossible to find new wavebirds for anything other than a crazy price.

I can however find the Mad Catz Nintendo GameCube Wireless Microon Controller at a few places. Does anyone have this controller and have any impressions about it?? I don't want to settle for a controller that doesn't work as good, but it's getting rediculous.

I've never heard good things about 3rd party controllers. I would advise against it. Just get a regular one if you can.

Not once have I ever played a 3rd party controller that wasn't absolutely horrible. If wireless is so important to you that you play a crappy controller, go for it.

*smacks Geo upside the head*

Don't you ever think about getting a third party controller ever again! You hear me!

I almost bought a 3rd party 360 controller since it was cheaper and the D-Pad was more like a Nintendo one than the 360 one (which I hate). I looked at reviews (which were awful), and realized saving $10 wasn't worth the headache.

Gamecube controller wires are upsurdly short, they don't reach the couch.

I ended up getting the Gamestop mini wireless controller. I'd rather not pay 70bucks for a wavebird as opposed to 20 for this.

It actually works pretty good, the only small issue is that the c-stick is just a hair slow to respond. That's ok, i relied on it too much in Smash Bros. multiplayer anyway.

It's not my fault Nintendo decided to stop making the Wavebird, even though their new fancy wireless system was just coming out.

You used the C-stick in Melee? Way to challenge yourself, noob :o

Stay very far away from anything made by Mad Catz. I've had nothing but problems with them and hear nothing but problems about them.

Honestly, just stick with the first party stuff.
