so this weekend was st pattys parade at binghamton. I ended up going to bed around 1AM, but I just could not fall asleep on that sofa. so I got 0 hours of sleep. that next night, I was pillowless and the AC was running. I felt like I was getting sick. That morning was the ride back and I fell asleep in the car several times. But the sleep I had in the car was pretty much the best sleep I had the whole weekend.

Today, I ended up sleeping for like 12 whole hours and woke up still feeling tired.

I hate when I get plenty of sleep but still wake up tired. I'm like "What was the point?" :p

While like any thing I think to much of any thing can be bad so I think you can get to much sleep and also if you didn't get a lot of sleep 1 night then I think it can take a few nights of good sleep to kind of make up for it. Like if one night I get only like 3 hours of sleep even if I then get like 10 hours the next night I am probly still going to be felling that 3 night form a few nights before and am going to need like another 10 hour sleep night to really fell good.

I work evenings so after a rough shift at the hospital I'm usually up until 0200 when my mind finally settles down. Unfortunately my kids wake me up at 0600 to see me before they head out to school or want me to drive them.

Even on my days off my body is used to staying up until 0200 and getting around four hours of sleep at night.

On the weekdays, since I work at a school, I'm in bed by 10pm to wake up at 5. On the weekends I can only manage to stay up till about 1am, 2am at the maximum.

On a work night, I'm up 'til eight am or so after I get home at seven. Off nights I sleep nine of ten until the morning. Been doing that for almost two years now, it gets old.

Is there a thread for depression?

I wonder if there are any correlating facts between sleep and depression.

Currently on leave at the moment so I wake up at 10.30am and go to sleep around 3.30am, next week I start work again so I usually go to sleep at 1.30am and get up at 5.30am

At the moment I wake up at 6am and get to work at 7am and leave at 4pm, depending on how much energy I have when I get home I might call it a night at 9 but I try not to push it past midnight. On average I'm usually in bed by 11-11:30pm because I try to get 7 hours of sleep.

The weekends I usually stay up 'til 1 or 2 depending on how much PS4 I want to play or if I'm watching a movie.

I stay up as late as 12 or 2 AM if I have work the next day, 4 or 5 (Sometimes later) if I don't.

I try to go to bed by 12 or 1, but as of recent I've been breaking that rule.

I've resorted to OTC's now which have given me a few more hours of sleep on days I have to get up at 6:30 am. Otherwise no chance I even fall asleep before 4:00 am :o The only downside is I feel a bit groggy, but still overall better than nearly or even going without sleep otherwise. It's tough enough to have insomnia, but to have trouble staying asleep on top of it sucks. Melatonin and otc sleep aids for now :(
