Ya guyz i have a feeling X3 won't be the #1 movie INTERNATIONAL market because DA VINCI CODE opened with approx. $147 million this weekend at overseas boxoffice.

Even with a 50% drop the movie will still make $73.5 million. I don't think X3 will do more than $70 million at overseas boxoffice next weekend.

PLEASE GOD PLEASE as well as all YOU FANS help X3 be the #1 movie worldwide boxoffice not JUST DOMESTIC boxoffice.

How many people don't care, and just want a good film?

I think it'll beat DVC as well. Even if it doesn't....who cares? It's not like we're going to get a cut of the box office take, or even a thank you note from Tom Rothman. :p

Easy there, scooter. I would love nothing more than to see X-Men be the biggest money maker of the YEAR, both domestically and internationally. But if it doesn't, will that make it a less enjoyable film for YOU?

I understand that these films are like some wonderful gift or possession that brings us joy and excitement, and in turn we want to share it with the rest of the world. But the final box office take is not going to affect my life in any way, shape, or form.

Well box office takes is what makes an X4..

Touchette. I don't think that's going to be a problem. Fox isn't stupid enough to kill the golden goose. This movie will make more than enough money, between box office and DVD sales, to justify an X4.

I don't think that it will. The X-men movie's aren't very popular internationally.

yeah true....... i dont think they will make an x4 anytime soon though.

maybe in ten years they will make it, they have enough time to recast just in case cast members dont want to return, and sign all the contracts and stuff for cast crew and director:up:

::raises hand::

I would really be that deeply concerned about the box office if they planned on sending any of this money to my house. :)

Just let the movie be good!

 Recast? Bite your tongue, young man. I haven't even seen it yet and I can't imagine Kelsey Grammer not playing Beast. I'm not sure how Beast would look in 10 years doing some acrobatics and getting a charlie horse. Or Juggernaut chasing Kitty in a wheelchair. :p

LOL....i dont want re-casts either but thats reality....... the stars will get picky and they wont come back.... so ten years would be just right:up:

And? Both Spider-Man movies made over 400mil, none of the X-films have even hit 200mil, I expect this movie to stuggle to make over 200mil. Outside of Spider-Man, no other comicbook film has had uber success in the international markets. A 100mil isn't a huge success in the international market when you are a tentpole blockbuster action flick.

I think the likes of Kelsey and Vinnie HAVE to come back, don't they? Didn't they say they're signed to do sequels if they're made? Of course the studio reserves the right to not use them if they choose *cough*AlanCumming*cough*

yeah true..... so im already expecting recasts:O

The X-Men movies tend to perform a bit better domestically than they do overseas, I guess the same might happen to TLS.

Well...

if X3 does atleast $550-600 million worldwide (which won't happen unless we all fans WORLDWIDE don't support the movie BIG-TIME) then i think FOX will definitely make X4.

It is all upto us guyz.

If you want all the same actors to return for X4 then we have make to X3 #1 worldwide next week and help it gross between $550-600 million worldwide.

BECAUSE I have a feeling that if X3 does that much at boxoffice+HUGE DVD sales we are going to get APOCALYPSE, gambit, havok and who knows maybe sentinels in future x-men movies like X4 and X5.

if star wars fans can watch crappy not to mention all time worst prequels like SW1 and SW2 and help them do $900+ and $600+ worldwide respectively then why can't we XMEN fans do it.

I am sure X4 and X5 will be amazing if we support X3 just like star wars fans did to SW1 and SW2 (due to which they got an amazing SW3).

LETS DO IT!!!!!!!

true....you can also think of it this way..

what asian movies do better here(or actually come out here)? martail arts movies or drama movies? the answer is martial arts/action.
prob. the same applies to them

Wrong on both counts, my friend....

From boxofficemojo.com
Domestic all-time (rounded to whole numbers)
Spiderman 403 million
Spidey 2 373.5 million
X2 214.9 million
Xmen 157 million

I took a vacation day Friday so I'll be there (with the wife and possibly our niece)
