I think that by the end of the year, we should redeploy all of our troops that are in Iraq to the border of Iraq, and for the next two years we completely secure their border. Nobody gets in or out during those two years. We absolutely do not interdevene in anything that is going on inside of Iraq. Our troops are all just on the border.

We should do this to soften Iaranian influence on Iraq's development. I think Saddam would probably end up dying in the next two weeks. Over the next couple years the Insurgency would probably take over again. But at least that would prevent the sh.ites from joining with Iran and Syria to take out Israel and the United States.

allowing Sh.ites to travel back and forth between Iraq and Iran would only increase the chances of World War 3 and make it worse if it does happen.

we should at least secure their border for 2 years after we quit our efforts to democratize.

Jeez I was stoned when I typed it, and I have a low tolerance, because I very rarely ever smoke anymore. and on top of that I only made two or three typing errors. Pretty good if you ask me.

Does anyone else see the irony of a discussion on the UNITED STATES securing Iraq's borders?

Not really. The US maintained a sizable presence in both Germany and Japan for a dozen or so years after WW2. That's just how war works, really. Unless you lose, of course.

How about the Iraqis secure their own damned country. If it falls or not, it'll be on their hands.

yes but it will hurt us, if Iran moves into invade Iraq while they are weak. I'm saying if their democracy falls apart and the insurgency takes over, then so what. Let that be on their hands. Let them take care of the inside, but we don't let them and Iran start combining resources and efforts to take us out.
The republicans have no strategy besides stay there and get killed.

The democrats have the lesser of two evils because they want us to get out, but they still don't have a plan to minimize the aftermath of this war.

This is the best option. Iran is our enemy, and we don't want to hand them an ally on a silver platter. The sh.ite majority that we put in power there will want that. If we quit trying to run their democracy, and make sure that Iran doesn't move in, most likely the insurgency will take over and become the new government. They will be enemies with Iran instead of allies, and they will help weaken Iran, instead of strengethening it, and they will keep Iran and Syria busy with Iraq, and distracted from us. plus this way the middle east will sort itself out. we will be less likely to go into Iran to try and destroy their nuclear facilities, if Iraq's already doing it for us.

This way the middle east can sort out this problem by themselves and avoid the United States getting dragged through it. world war 3 will begin there soon, and I'm hoping the U.S. doesn't get dragged down, and bogged down in the middle of it.

I say we move to the moon and let the middle easterners jihad it out.

Carpet bomb the middle east with hardcore pornography (magazines, DVDs, and free subscriptions to various porn sites)

you know the middle east is a messed up place when bombing them with free porn is actually considered an act of war. If somebody did that to my property, I'd say thank you.

all I'm going to say is how f'ed up is someone, when they do stuff to get 17 virgins in the afterlife

I had to use the term "carpet bomb" to lure in the pro-war crowd :D

I don't understand if this is a question or a poorly structured statement.

Regardless, how ****ed up is someone who obviously gets their education on Muslim culture from the side of a cereal box (or maybe a sports announcer)? Educate yourself.:down

Oh no! It's the indolent half-wit who refuses to take the time or brain power (should he posses it) to hit back with any retort at even a "Larry the Cable Guy" level.

I'm just talking about the fact that we can't secure our own borders and yet we are talking about securing someone elses.
