So when you go out on a weekend either by yourself or with friends, on a scale of 1-10 how much do you think people would recognize you as a geek due to your clothing options?
For example, when I go out I always wear a marvel t-shirt, jeans and black and white converse so I'd say i'm an
8/10 in terms of being recognized as a geek!
What about you guys? Do you like sharing your love for being a fan of something to the public??

I don't wear novelty clothing on a day-to-day basis, it's just not me. I own sports jerseys, but only wear them to the corresponding sports events.

However, give me the opening to talk about something nerdy, holy ****, hold on to your hats. I don't have kids, but I have coworkers who do, and if they talk about what toys to buy I have in the past month alone expounded on the history of Lego, The Muppets and the evolutionary link between G.I. Joe and Transformers. I don't remember how, but I remember even discussing He-Man during an actual serious job interview some years ago.

I have four nephews ranging from 4-8. I talk comics all the times, we watch Doctor Who and play video games together. I wear comic shirts and have arguments at work over stupid comic rules.

I don't wear novelty stuff everyday, but most everyone who knows me knows I'm a fan.

is there a problem with me wearing "novelty" stuff everyday.....

You seem to have a real issue worrying about what people think of your clothes. Just like the snapback caps or whatever... wear what you want... There's no problem with "novelty" shirts.

I wear geeky t-shirts all the time.

Nah idc about wearing Marvel tee's I like showing off my fandom, I was just worried that I wasn't "cool" enough to wear a snapback

I have a couple Marvel t shirts, but most of my shirts are related to music. And talk about and post about Marvel things sometimes but again its mostly music that I share with people. But whenever any of the Marvel movies come up in conversation, I'm way too knowledgeable. I'm the first person people come to when they have a question about movies or actors or anything like that.

I'm unassuming. But if the conversation turns geeky, I'll jump in.

I used to have some T-Shirts but now not even one. I don't own any models, figures or even posters. But... Yeah, everyone that knows me knows what I am into the second talk of pop culture comes up.

About 75 - 80% of my wardrobe is novelty t-shirts. I have two Game of Thrones shirts, two Star Wars shirts, and a Breaking Bad, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, The Walking Dead and at least one of several other fandoms. I'm always sharing my fandoms both in conversation and where fashion is concerned, so I'm very easy to identify.

To know me is to know what I love. I'm a bit of a collector of t-shirts and I always try to share whatever I'm interested in with other people.

I rock Marvel and Star Wars gear all the time. I am an unabashed geek and proud of it. I have a small squad of collectibles growing on my shelf. And I always tell people how awesome all the stuff I love is

3 no one really knows by my outward appearance until I start talking most wouldn't know how geeky I am.

i rock the comic shirts all the time! i dont care! i had to endure it when it wasnt cool and in style and now that it is i rock it hard!...but whats funny is i dont look like your stereotypical "nerd" who's into this stuff and who's just wearing it cause its cool and the "in" thing! i sat next to this guy at the theater at Avengers age of Ultron who started telling me about Thanos and the infinity gauntlet and i was like yeah!.. but you need to read such and such!... hahaha his jaw dropped!
so now i started wearing the more obscure heroes like "Doom Patrol and &*( its like the indie band to all the Avengers stuff! hahahaha:cwink:

Do you still rock the pantsless look is the real question BV?

Pretty much every shirt I own is some kind of fandom (2 Person of Interest shirts, 4 Haunted Arkham shirts, 4 Star Wars shirts, 1 Harley Quinn shirt, 3 Frozen shirts, 1 Little Mermaid shirt, 1 Arkham Origins shirt) so really every time I go out with a few exceptions. Plus I have some necklaces, bracelets and a pair of Darth Vader leggings.

pantless and courvoisier go together every time!

I rarely wear "fandom" related shirts.

I've got several Batman and Spider-Man t-shirts which I wear if the weather is good. In Ireland we don't always get warm sunny days to wear t-shirts regularly. I have a Joker wallet, and a few pairs of Batman socks. But apart from that you wouldn't know I'm a comic book geek to look at me.
