How good are you at keeping your word or your promises.

how reliable are you at doing something once you have given across the impression you'd rather die than fail/betray them?

anyone's word here actually mean anything???

people like so are kinda hard to find these days...

:o

I always keep my word. :scout's honor:

I'm old fashioned. If I give my word, it's gold.

I'm not going to say that I always keep my word, because I'm human so of course sometimes what I promise to do won't happen. I always try my best to keep it though.

I always keep my word. Honest. *crosses fingers behind back*

Sometimes circumstances won't allow you to keep your word as hard as you try.

Depends how much I care... mostly, it's not worth much if you don't know me well enough. Other times if it's someone I actually care about, I'll be on it before they even have to blink twice.

But mostly it's worth jack.

I do my best to keep my word but always is a maxim I can not subscribe to

I agree. People have their name and their word. They should try very hard at keeping both respectable.

I have diarrhea and herpes of the mouth, so my words probably wouldn't be worth very much.

I'll put them up on Ebay sometime and see how much I can get for them.

Wait a minute! You were never a scout! :cmad:
;)

Anyway... to the topic at hand. When I give my word, I keep it. I don't, however, give my word very often because very little I encounter is worth giving it.

That said, I don't tend to be much of a gossip or have loose lips. When things are told to me in confidence (even if it's not expressly stated), unless there's some overwhelming circumstance (which is rare) I keep the confidence. Partly because I expect the same courtesy from others, and partly because my attitude generally is that I don't think things are my business or others.

If I make a promise to someone I know in real life, I do my best to keep it.

Promises made in here though are another matter entirely.

I'd say that about a thousand of my words are worth a picture. :o

My word when I mean it will stand till the day of my death. LIke this girl I promised her my love till the day of my death and even though I have not had the favor returned I have kept it and plan to forever.

like I tell my students whenever they miss an assignment and promise me to have it for next class: "I'm not impressed by promises, I'm impresed by actions"

that pretty much the way I see things

Nice Danko Jones reference.

My folks raised both my brother and I to be men who honor their words. When I promise someone something, I live up to that promise. However, like Daisy, I'm very selective about who gets promises from me and for what, because I don't take it lightly.

I'm very good at keeping my word because I don't overpromise.

All I have in this world is my balls and my word and I don't break them for no one.

about 10 buck, for cigs, gas or booze, but not enough to have a good time.
