I know that Peter Parker was 15 when he was bitten when he was created in 1962 (let me know if I have any facts wrong),
But I was wondering if anyone knows how old Norman Osborne, the Green Goblin, was when he first appeared?
How about the Lizard?
Kingpin?
Jameson?
Mary Jane?
Aunt May?
what about Carnage?
Spencver Smythe?
Or any other Spider-Man (or Marvel) characters?

Can anyone tell me the age of a Marvel character in their first apearence?

ages were only specified for peter... he was bit at 15... and hes roughly about 29ish at the moment..

gwen died his sophmore year at college.. so he'd be about 19-20... and its been roughly 10 years comic time since then...

MJ would be the same age due to them being in the same grade of college...

Spencer would be the oldest.. that man had to of been in his 50-60's
Lizard was probably in his mid 30's

kingpin and norman i'd say are roughly the same age.. so i;d say mid 40's would be there first apperance... especially if both have sons and one was in college with peter (harry)

peter was probably about 25-26 when carnage first appeared.. maybe even 27... ne ways, id bet Cassidy (carnage) was about that age or late 20's...

aunt may has kinda de-aged over the years... peters parents would be in there late 50's now (as for average standards) and since uncle ben was his dads brother... i'd give them a 10-15 year age difference... i wouldnt push it over 20.. not many people are 20 when they get a baby brother.. soo that puts ben and aunt may probably at like 60 at most in there FA... aunt may now wouldt be over 70..

no one but peter, and for my knowledge the Young Avengers and Runaways have specific ages

i'd say norman was 33 or 35

Well I would go as far as to say probably mid forties...

it doesn't really matter considering his formula has given him enhanced strength and a healing factor, the years can generally be kind to him

OCK however should be incredibly old by now....too old to be a threat.

although one could argue he himself doesn't physically exhaust himself in battle, rather his arms do all the work on his behalf..

so swings and roundabouts...

In the last issue of Mark Millar's Marvel Knight's Spider-Man run Spider-Man was screaming at the top of his lungs that Norman Osborn was a Fifty Five Year Old Man.

So, if we're to do the addition and subtraction...and all that jazz...I'd say when Osborn first appeared he was in his early to mid 40's. Which makes some sense from a continuity standpoint.

What utter nonsense. Ock was about mid forties when he first appeared. Which would make him in his fifties by now. And even if he was 90 years old now, he uses his tentacles for his physical strength, not his own body. Always has.

If any villain is too old to be a threat by now, it's the Vulture. He gets the crap kicked out of him, and still returns as fiesty as ever.

Vulture has enhanced strengthed and increased agility, especially in an aerial situation, plus he's been known to steal the youth of others. This like Norman would compensate for his age.

I already covered those angles regarding ock...

I still think they are getting on though, spidey needs some younger foes, perhaps even younger than himself...

I wonder if he does have any villains in his gallery that are younger than him?

I doubt it considering how young he started out but they still haven't brought anyone significant in over the years...

only one i could think of is Kraven's son but even then...

Vulture should be pushin 80 by now. At best he was in his early sixtys when he started running around in a costume.

I think Ock would probably be around the same age as Norman Osborn...mid to late 50's, possibly 60.

The Vulture has to be in his 80's, I agree with that. There is a way to explain why the Vulture has so much energy for his age, especially after the Lifetheft arc. Even though the youth would fade off of him it could have done something. I mean if a radioactive spider can make a man into a human spider that can work for Vulture.

If you think about it...a lot of Spidey's rogues are starting to push their way into middle age, if not already there.

Are there any of his enemies who were created more recently? Like Cardiac, Carnage? Those are the only ones I can think of who wouldn't be pushing 50. Can anyone else think of some?

Theres plenty, but none that are all that memmorable. The current Mysterio for instance. (Actually theres two current Mysterio's and the original, back from Hell.)

Eddie Brock would probably be in his late thirties or so. Whereever that guy is at these days. :o

Carnage wouldn't be too old either...that is if he's still floating around in space or not.

Shriek wouldn't be too old either.

The new Molten man, Electro's probally still in his 30's.

Yeah, but, unless I be mistaken, he's still an old guy getting punched in the face every now and then by Spider-Man.

He's still an old man in a green bird suit who gets his face hammered.

plus he's been known to steal the youth of others.

He lost all that years ago. Someone called David Kalen sucked it all from him.

Yeah, when Spider-Man does manage to get thru those tentacles, he pulls his punches. He's not a murderer. He doesn't want to kill Octavius.

And Octavius is not old. He's middle aged. Same as Osborn and half of Spidey's rogues gallery.

I'd argue Ock is probably older than Norman. He's not old prese, but he should have white temples by now (or at least again).

He did have white temples in ASM a fews years back then for some odd reason they gave him that Phil Spector in the Matrix look, then more of the classic look most recently again without the white.

So? He either dyes it, or wears a toupee. Gotta look stylish when you're kickin' the crap outta a web-slinger.

I would love to see Doc Ock lose his toupee in a battle with Spider-Man. :)

What about that kid ock that they had Ollie Osnick? He'd be a little older now? How old would Doctor Doom be?

Dr. Doom I would guess is in his early to mid forties.

Theres nothing stylish about the recent Ock looks. The last time the man looked respectable was when he had those suits on. I miss that look.

Or thankfully they just ignored that Reed Richards look that Romita Jr decided to give him in that JMS arc. Hated it. Same goes for the long black hair that Ramos gave him in Spectacular Spider-Man.

Gone, gone, gone. He's back to his classic stylish look. Same for his tentacles. They don't have those Octopus sucker things on them anymore.

Yeah, Otto made that white suit his.
