Whether it be help with homework, a trip to the store, a shoulder to cry on, an ear to listen to, or just accompanying someone somewhere, how reliable are you when it comes to helping those around you? Do you offer to help in any way, even if you don't know what to do, or do you steer clear of people who need something? Do you only help certain people, but leave others to fend for themselves? If your friends or family were asked this question, would you be on the top of their list of people to call, or the bottom? How reliable do you think/know you are?

Personally, I'm a mixed bag. I used to go out of my way to let people know that I would be there for them with whatever they need, despite the fact that people never really asked me for much help. Though at the same time, there would be times when I would offer to help, and not have any idea of what to do. However, recently, I've sort of kept to myself a lot more and have not wanted to deal with anyone, so I've gone as far to tell people not to rely on me for anything because I will only disappoint them. Yet, there are a few people who I still try to help no matter what.

I'm fairly reliable. I get to work on time, get my chores done mostly on time (ok I admit there are some chores I neglect more than others). My family and friends know that if I say I will try to do something I mean it. I don't make promises unless I think I can keep them. My internal clock is pretty reliable too, it does a great job of waking me before my alarm clock goes off... though sometimes I think it's in a different time zone when I wake up TOO early.

I will respond to this thread in about 30 minutes.

the irony of this thread being created today

i'm very very reliable. it's a shame i can't rely on anyone else though

Ok, ComicChick - who were you relying on and how did they let you down? (Yes, I read between the lines, am I wrong?)

I'm usually pretty reliable. I always how up to work on time, rarely call in sick and very rarely refuse to come in if there is an emergency.

That said, I forgot to buy dinner tonight for my dad and brother like I said I would. :o:doh:

It depends on who I'm being reliable to. If I'm close to someone and care about them (family, friends,) I'm extremely reliable. But I tend to be reliable with anyone that hasn't given me a reason not to be pissed off at them. I'm actually quite the people person - I enjoy being there for folks.

60% of the time, I'm reliable all the time

I'm pretty reliable especially at work if they need me to stay extra hours.

I'm as constant as the mother effing north star.

I'm sorry, did you need something?
