How religious you are?

And here's the quote from the movie: "An agnostic does not deny the existence of God and heaven but holds that one cannot know for certain whether or not they exist".

That is where faith comes in.

Also, as a believer of G-d and heaven I believe that a time will come when faith will no longer be a necessity to know that G-d does exist.

So under that pretense, those with and those without faith will have G-d's existence proven to them.

Those with faith would fair better than those without, and those whose faith resulted in living in a decent upright way with good works will fair the best of all because its in these works that prove the existence of true faith.

The why you're unable to spell GOD?

A lot of people are saying it like that now on the net.

I don't know why.

I can but that is my preferrence.

Imam W. Deen Mohammed, leader of the largest indigenous group of Muslim, has explained that in order to show due reverence to the Name of G-d Almighty, that we not use any spelling that could in the reverse mean "dog."

This also follows the sentiments of many Jews as well.

TOTALLY stupid and pointless.

lol, no mein freund, making a thread named " How religious you are?"
that's stupid, then inside it, just posting a picture meant to be funny as your only argument ( supported by the extra features of your Donnie Darko DVD)
is pointless.

so....um, yeah. YAY Irony

Doesn't eating do that? I'd think a fat person would burn some calories whilst engorging on various food stuffs

If that were so, how do they get fat?

But anyway, today was eventful, now it's bleh.

The calorie intake of the food outweighs the calories burnt while eating

any "Christian" who believes that the crusades were just needs to seriously re-read their Bible.
Its terrible how many people use religion, especially Christianity, to make money, start wars, and commit other kinds of evil....and the fact that there are those who still justify "Christian wars" (I've seen some say that the war in Iraq is one) is awful if not sickening.
It's not our place to change the world or force others to convert or die. what God does with the unbelivers is His business. our job is to spread the gospel as faithfully as possible.

I don't know

I looked up his religion back in sept. but couldn't find it

Its not really importaint at this point anyway. He's gone. where he will be in Eternity is Gods business and theres nothing we can do about it at this point (not that there ever was seeing as it's God who saves people and not us). All we can really do now is pray for and try to comfort his family if possible.
Who knows, maby God saved him at some point before his death. we dont know.

Names for the one true god are considered, by many, too holy for mortals to write. Writing in and of itself is incomplete reverence for what is being written. So, references to Him are partially written as raybia has, or in letters that symbolize the name (ie, KS for Jesus or YHWH for Yahweh).

Great comments!

The world would be a better place if Christians, Jews, and Muslims would be more dedicated to following the best of its teaching and working on obtaining a better understanding of those teaching.

Also, if we say we are followers of Jesus, Mohammed, or Moses, we need to following them in both word and deed and to effectively do so, we have to become familar with the life they led.

The job for the world's religious community, especially Christians and Muslims, is to reform our religions. If we have to compete with one another then let us compete towards who can do the most good works towards each other.

Welcome to the hype!

He means well, nor was he the first to call for this as many in the Jewish community first began this practice for the same reasons for the purpose of showing due reverence to the Lord Almighty.

Great comments? GREAT COMMENTS?!

"any Christian who believes that the crusades were just needs to seriously re-read their Bible...." Gadzooks! What horrible persons! What persons? Which Christians? Where? Why?

"Its terrible how many people use religion, especially Christianity, to make money, start wars, and commit other kinds of evil...." For some reason this newb decided to put special emphasis on his personal unfavorite, Christianity. He then follows with recognizable, emotional, vague strikes against it. Avarice, violence, and "other kinds of evil" are committed by us all: consider the atheist communist regimes, the "indigenous" Navajo, and the pagan Nazis, ...not just classic stand-bys like Christians. These statements were nothing close to critical thinking.

"It's not our place to change the world or force others to convert or die. what God does with the unbelivers is His business. our job is to spread the gospel as faithfully as possible." If it's not our place to change the world, to what end do we spread the gospel faithfully? Are we in violation of salvation, by not "changing the world"? I don't know what annoys me more: the headache your comments gave me or that someone applauded them.

But you're not only doing this to show reverence to the Lord Almighty. Some reverence has been allotted to Imam Mohammed, because he made a well-meaning suggestion that any person who respects him will politely follow.

If it were anyone else that used that unfathomably stupid reason why it is that we are doing this?, you would have laughed him off the stage.

Yet still again, reverence is re-directed: some is allotted to the Jews.
What are you doing?
What are you saying?
Who are God's beloved, that keep his revelation, law, and understanding completely in their hearts -- the Jews or the Muslims? If the Muslims, then why practice Jewish custom unless we are incomplete? If the Jews, why not convert and become one?
