I would not mind the original look but without the skin showing so there would be more an air of mystery about what Galactus really is. More alien. And give him an uniformed color like a metalic color such as silver, instead of purple. The fact that it would look similar to SS would make sens in restrospect because he's his creator. It would make it easier for the audience to accept it.

I get so tired of these guys mucking up what made the character what it is. There's a reason why Galactus made such an impact when he first hit the page. The look............no one had seen a villain like that before.

The really important thing about Galactus is the helmet --- everything else can have variations, subtle changes, etc... but the helmet has to remain the same. It's one of Kirby's most brilliant designs, costume-wise.

Now, the only change I think I'd definitely add would be, as others have said, making the purple parts of the costume a metallic, mahogany-type color instead. Something more in line with the color of Alex Ross's Galactus. Maaaybe get rid of all the skin showing... but that would need tests to decide whether it looked better or not.

IMO, Galactus should be formless, and no, i´m not joking.
Galactus is a force of nature, a cosmic being, he should be beyond compreension, not just a giant dude with a hulking helmet, and a weird purple motif.

Now, i understand that you can´t just simply erase the all comic book external appearance, so, the way i see it is, make something like, we (humans) see him the way we want to see him, and the way our mind can compreend.

Something on this terms, not really something i really spent time thinking about.
