I have an old desktop computer that seemed to have died recently; I can turn it on and hear the humming noise, but there's no display. There're still some things on the HD that I wanted to save before I sack the computer for good, but I'm not sure how to do so. Right now I have a laptop that I'm using at home, and I'm wondering if there is a way for me to hook up my old HD like I can with an external HD and access it this way. Thanks.

You could get this:

Or

Same thing happened to me, but in reverse. My Laptop died, so I used the cable to transfer the data from the HDD. The enclosure is cool as well, because you can use HDD as a backup for other things once you wipe it.

Thanks alot! One of the HD has over 400GB so if I can use it as a backup, it'd be terrific. I'll check it out when I get home.
