How Will the Disney-Marvel Merger Affect TV?

People keep talking about movie this and movie that, but seeing how Marvel will continue to work with other studios till the rights expire, I don't see the movies being affected for a few years. I mean, Sony has a 6-picture deal. And they're just getting started on the 4th. So, itll be another 10 years before Marvel even touches Spider-Man. And, FOX is doing everything in its power to keep those X-Men rights. Paramount isn't letting go of Iron Man/Avengers anytime soon.

This only affects television. In other words: ABC, Disney Channel, ABC Family, and Disney XD.

So, which Marvel TV shows would you like to see? And it could be either live-action or animated. Also, which ones are you actually expecting?

The creative team and cast are a reflection of where it's airing. If this aired on Disney Channel you pretty much know whose gonna be involved.

Disney should just buy Nick too. They haven't done anything.

Also, Runaways should be on ABC. Just because it has kids doesn't mean it should be in Disney or ABC family, the latter which is more acceptable.

actually it was WB deciding to discontinue kids WB and sell that block to 4Kids Tv....a second season was produced and is airing on Disney XD right now...a third season has yet to be commissioned

I'm aware of that. What I meant was...ratings (obviously) will be the determining factor on if a third season is a go.

Keep SSM on Disney XD cause it is doing great. Runaways could work on ABC of ABC Family IMO. Also if they want to cater to the tween/teen aged boys a Power Pack cartoon wouldn't be too bad either. There is a lot of potential with this purchase and I think in the long run it can work.

I don't think live action shows out of either company DC or Marvel are viable right now...Smallville is like a dying cow at this point

Yeah, that would make more sense. It would be pretty awesome too, we wouldn't have to waste a lot of money for multiple movies. =D
