okay TRANSFORMERS by cryptic name:
the movie would open on cybertron where the autobots are losing the war for control of their battle ravaged planet to the decepticons. in last ditch effort to find supplies and energy sources to support themselves, autobot leader optimus prime takes a small group consisting of autobots jazz (second in command), ratchet (medical officer), prowl, ironhide, and grimlock (all damn good soldiers) and bumblebee (scout) on a huge interstellar craft, run by the teletraan i supercomputer, called "The Ark" to search among other galaxies. on the final moments before they depart, the autobot stronghold is attacked by the decepticon legions, lead by the evil megatron. a battle ensues, but the small group of autobots manage to escape in the ark. unbeknownst to them, a decepticon spy is amongst them, in the form of ravage, one of soundwave's minions. the ark goes on it's journey, something obviously goes wrong and the immense ship crashes into the side of a volcano on the planet earth, causing it to erupt. the ship, while not damaged by the lava, is buried beneath it. the autobots are rendered nonfunctioning by the impact and lay dormant in the ark.
4 million years later. teletraan one is reactivated by the crash of u.s. airforce jet. the artificially intelligent computer sets about not only reactivating the autobots, but finding new earth altmodes for them that suit their size and personalities, (i'd pretty much go with all venom4life's atmode choices, minus sideswipe. i'd make grimlock a silver ford mustang and do the dinobots thing later.) the revived autobots go about their task, searching for energy sources.
also reactivated by the plane crashes energy, is ravage, who manages to evade detection and escapes the ark. once free, he sends a message across the stars to soundwave. this leads to megatron bringing a battalion of decepticons: starscream(jet), skywarp(jet), soundwave(some com. vehicle), onslaught(missile trailer), astrotrain(space shuttle), octane(boeing 747)
to earth to find and destroy optimus and the other autobots and declare earth as an outpost for the decepticons, who have begun to a push to conquer the universe after finally winning cybertron and dispersing the few remaining autobots to the stars.
from there it's pretty much standard fare, bumblebee meets spike while on a scouting mission, befirends him. spike meets the autobots, learns everything (reveal some more backstory of optimus and megatron). decepticons arrive, kick the hell out of military, military attacks autobots, spike expains to military. miliatry helps autobots fight decepticons. megatron and starscream retreat aboard astrotrain to fight another day.

megatron must be stopped, no matter the cost
