Howard Cantour.com (Shia LaBeouf)

I've thought he was a *****ebag for years. He's only gotten away with it this long because he is a dude.

Sad, but true. Gender privilege is still very real. I can't even think of a comparable actress who is this classless, morally and creatively bankrupt, who has been given the opportunity to star in as many finacially successful flicks as this guy- who could get away with a stunt like this.

Off the top of my head, I can think of Lindsey Lohan and Amanda Bynes and they've been all but crucified by the media/public.

Megan Fox was, rightfully, taken to task for biting the hand that fed her but Shia hasn't been. If I were Shia I wouldn't change because I get rewarded for my bad behavior. I get to play in John Hilcoat movies with Tom Hardy and Jessica Chastain and I get to co-star with Brad Pitt.

Yeah, Fox bit the hand that fed her...once. Labeef has done it with almost everyone he's worked with, and he's proven that he's difficult and temperamental to work with as well.

You're absolutely right. He has no reason to discontinue his poor behaviour. Like the spoiled brat that is never disciplined.

Well, he's not returning for Transformers IV, though whether that was his decision or Michael Bay's isn't clear...

But yea, Shia trash-talked Transformers and Indiana Jones (this after Spielberg produced 2/3 of his earlier movies and basically took him under his wing and nurtured his budding movie career), supposedly pissed off Mia Wasikowska and Tom Hardy during Lawless (to the point where Wasikowska tried to get out of the whole movie), and reportedly is doing the same thing now with Brad Pitt.

And now this plagiarism scandal, on top of his various episodes with public drunk and disorderly conduct.

Sooner or later, he's gonna wear out his welcome.

Megan Fox's problems weren't even as bad as Shia, and she seems to have made peace with Michael Bay. Shia's ego just seems to be getting worse and worse, but this whole situation where he even plagiarised the Sorry speech is hilarious

I half-suspect he deliberately plagiarized his apology as a sarcastic FU because he doesn't feel he should be getting called out.

I don't think Megan Fox can act, and her comparing Michael Bay to Hitler was over-the-top, but yea, I've never heard of her being difficult on film set after film set the way Shia is developing a rep for being.

i have to use common sense even with Shia. he had steal the apology as a FU to everyone. in his mind he thinks that he was sarcastic

Well yeah clearly that was a mocking apology...which isn't an apology at all of course.

but it was a moching apology right? he is not that stupid? but i guess he is THAT mean.

does he think that he is the victim here?

Yeah i don't think she can act either, though i thought she was well cast in Jennifer's Body and worked well there

Then what was with the rest of his series of excuses/apologies and finally his "I f***ed up."?

I thought Harrison Ford did a good job of putting Shia in his place after trash-talking Indy 4 but apparently it didn't take. At the time I thought he was rude but being honest. That's been gradually changing over the years as things come out.

It's fine for us, the movie-goers, to call a movie crap if we didn't like it (I liked it but it made some dumb choices), but when you star in a movie then talk **** about it later, that's in poor taste.

He could have still said something negative about the film but he was so disrespectful for it. He and Fox are in retrospect both bad examples of the new generation of actors. Fortunately there are others who hold up a better standard.

To paraphrase heavily, "Stop being an ******* and acknowledge the fact you were acting in a movie directed by Spielberg and with actors far above your caliber."

I don't think there's any possibility LaBeouf had the intention of generating controversy on purpose like some are saying, because ultimately a stunt like this was only ever going to backfire big time.

Whatever his intentions were he clearly had no thought behind them.

Yeah Ford gave him the business.

Jesus, Shia, are you even a real PERSON?!

Oh for christ sake. How many more of these are going to surface?

This is ****ing hilarious. I still love him. He has to be taking the piss now that it's all out in the open.

The blatant copying of Robert McNamara's quote (which reads ridiculously coming from Shia) has to be a joke. Maybe he's trying to make this all an act in order to save face. It probably didn't start that way.
