Apart from the fact that the character is traditionally 5'3 and Jackman is nearly a foot taller - 6'2 - which as we all know is surprise surprise, Bats' height!!

I've always thought he would have been a great choice to don the cowl. He's got the suave to nail Bruce and the physical presence and stature pretty much perfect for Bats. And a of course the acting chops. But alas, he carries the shadow of already playing another one of the most beloved comic book characters...Wolverine.

Thoughts?

(P.S. Didn't know where else to put post this thread)

You know..

I've always thought his mannerisms, look for Wolverine especially were very much like a young Clint Eastwood. If he was never Wolverine, he would have made a great 40-something Batman. With Clint Eastwood playing old Bruce in Batman Beyond.

I think he'd be a great Batman. I'd like to see that, but I don't think he's wasted on Wolverine though.

Jackman is one of the best actors working. He has great range. From Wolverine to The Prestige, to Les Misérables. He could play Batman in his sleep.

I recall a story Jackman told once where he encountered Eastwood and mentioned to him that his wife said he looked like a young Eastwood. Apparently Clint wasn't too impressed and just have him a typical flint-eyed stare and said something laconic like "yeah?"

More like the stare in that Eastwood gif that people always use.

Hmm. I thought this was the gif.

I'm thinking of the one where he stares and then kind of turns away. It's commonly used in the hype when someone says something and a poster is incredulous at such a suggestion.

Yep that's the one I'm thinking of.
