I have seen this movie twice! The concensus stand-out is The Hulk!! He steals the show!!

I know that Marvel had scrapped his projects because of his disappointing box office. But still feel that TIH suffered because Ang Lee screwed up the first attempt. I know some don't feel that way. Fine.

But I think this Avengers movie will cause them to re-think that stupid idea!! Hulk is hot again!! This can be done right! But I truly think that his movie needs to be one that will act as a springboard to bring in more Marvel U characters.

Do you think Marvel will change its tune on Hulk?

Hulk *will* appear again....the most recent reports from Marvel show that Guillermo Del Toro's Hulk TV show will air next year, and they're looking at a Hulk solo film (TIH2, for lack of a better description at this point) in 2015.

Hulk could have been an Iron Man-type franchise if it had gotten off on the right foot imo. Ang's film (which I liked) killed any hope of that.

The Incredible Hulk was as good as any Marvel Studio film yet, imo. It made alot of money too. I don't know if they expected it to make a billion like the Avengers. If they do make another one that would be good. Ruffalo was the scene stealer, and the best thing about the Avengers. So hopefully he gets one.

I think Hulk should be in Avengers 2, then move on to Planet Hulk!

Basically, Planet Hulk was just one big homage to John Carter so I really can't see Disney agreeing to go for that one.

Actually... I'm quite sure with a bit of CGI you could probably re-edit most of John Carter into a planet Hulk film without having to shoot anything new at all.

I agree that there needs to be another Hulk film. Marvel finally got the right ingredients. Great Hulk and the perfect actor for Banner. Many people I know who hated the other two Hulk films actually loved the Hulk in Avengers.

If they do another film however...they need someone to work along side The Hulk. He works best working off of someone else's personality.

I think the best choice for a team-up would be Hulk and Iron Man. Both are power hitters in their own right and their personalities are very different.

Hulk movie=YES

Is the TV show really going to happen? I'm on the fence about it.

I really hope that Hulk show comes to fruition. I'd love to see Banner explored over twenty + episodes.

Use animatronics and Jurrasic Park type technology for the TV show. Surely you can do that on a TV budget these days. If you go a CGI route and give us crap we got in the Terminator show it's game, set match. Don't even bother.

If they can add effects and make it look believable, and not resort to Terranova level CGI barely about Sci Fi channel quality it won't work.

Hulk needs to be underpowered but it is supposed to be about a young Hulk. A TV show can work.

I'd love to see a sequel to TIH with Mark Ruffalo (I'd abhor another change in actor, plus Mark was awesome in The Avengers). I'm not quite sure how I feel about a show, though.

... I say Ruffalo should show up in Iron Man 3.. also Thor 2..

Will they get back William Hurt and Liv Tyler and all those other cast members from TIH? That little cliffhanger with Samuel Sterns still has me really curious.

Contain the Hulk for Avengers 2. No need for Solo movie when Marvel Studio's schedule is already jam packed. That way people are looking forward to Avengers 2 because they miss the Hulk.

Give me a Hulk movie starring Mark Ruffalo and written/directed by Joss Whedon plz .

Didnt Stark and Banner ride off together at the end of that movie?? I think we might see him again.....

I'd love it if they got Drew Goddard to do the hulk film. He's got a rapport with Joss Whedon, the two have similar sensibilities, and who knows, maybe joss will co-write it with him again. (i'm still a little high off cabin in the woods lol). one thing i hope they disregard from the norton film though is the sterns tease...or at least recast him. i don't know if it was the writing or the actor, but I found his character REALLY annoying.

and if they bring hurt back as thunderbolt ross I hope they make his character more 3 dimensional like the sam elliot ross, who was one of the best things about the ang lee film, which i still defend as having a lot of potential.

the way i see it is the ang lee film had great atmosphere and action, the directing was great imo. just needed a better script, the story was boring as sh** and gave us absorbing dad. the norton film had the opposite I feel. pretty good script by norton, (not perfect mind you, again see the samuel sterns character and the 2 dimensional villains) but had a generic action director in Louis LeTerrier whose idea of visceral cinematography was framing every scene with a crane shot. they need to find the happy medium with the next one, and I feel a script from Whedon and Goddard in the directors chair would provide just that, and then some.

The reason the Hulk worked so well in The Avengers is for the exact reason you stated. And the reason that is true is because the live action Hulk is a character devoid of personality (so far).

Until the Hulk becomes a real character he should stick to Avengers films really. That's the only context he can work in his present form unfortunately.
They need to keep him off of TV!

It can't do him justice.....
Agreed. The TV show is the reason the live action Hulk has no personality and is a mute. Gee...thanks. Who knows what damage another TV show would do to the Hulk character. I'm sure the Banner character would once again get 99.9% of the character development.

It was definitely implied that Banner is going to work for Stark. Gotta love that.

I would say it's time for Hulk to talk. That's one of the new dynamics that could be used to make Ruffalo's Hulk a success where others failed.

And I don't mean just two words every now and then. He should talk like the current Hulk in the comics talks. We should be able to get some idea of the hostility between Banner and Hulk.

Get back the cast from TIH with Ruffalo as Banner. Give him a friend (Rick Jones), make him more fun and friendly like in Avengers.

Hulk vs. Tim Blake Nelson's The Leader.

Oh, i'd like to see Talbot. I know he was in Ang Lee's Hulk but i'd love to see a new take to him.

Tim Blake Nelsons leader was way too goofy to take seriously :o
