Action-Adventure Hunger Games Prequel | Lionsgate

Never seen anything that Haymitch has been in, but I buy him as a young Harrelson.

Solid choice. She’s been great in everything I’ve seen her in.

r/The Hunger Games fan-casting thread was spot on with this! They really do seem to have a feel for certain actors in which roles they would be appropriate for.

The chances of Justice Smith getting the role of Beetee just went up.

So funny to see people struggling with age on this one.

The Capitol has people cosmetically enhancing themselves into ****ing cat women. I think we can suspend disbelief to think that someone as well-off as Plutarch nipped and tucked himself into looking a decade or two younger than he was.

(Yes, I brought up the age issue too, but nevermind that :o)

Do we know where they plan on filming this one? I’m only a few chapters into the actual game, but based on description, I’m getting a Pacific Northwest vibe.

Hold up, what’s going on with Lionsgate that this needs to sell to anyone?

They're not in good shape financially. Pretty much everything they released last year underperformed or outright bombed.

Just finished the book earlier.

Should we be counting on ending cameos from Harrelson, Lawrence and Hutcherson to talk the audience off the ledge after how ****ing devastating everything up to that point is?

Personally speaking, I don't think I have seen anything from Lionsgate post-pandemic except for Ballads of Songbirds/Snakes and Saw X. I tried to start John Wick in 2022, I couldn't finish the first movie.

I can't really think of anything off the top of my head besides Songbirds and Snakes and the John Wick movies either. John Wick has basically been keeping them afloat for the last decade.

I looked at the list of their films, from Wikipedia.

There's 3 more I have seen - Spiral, Strangers Part I and Moonfall. Moonfall, I didn't finish watching because I fell asleep in someone else's house. Another Simple Favor is in my waitlist, so that would be the six for this decade. But looking at their list of films, a lot of the films just don't appeal to me. Not even if I see them on Netflix.

This next Hunger Games, however, is one of my most anticipated films for next year. For some reason, I just miss having these YA novel movie adaptations.

Never watched the other prequel. This could be fun though.

Thinking back on Drusilla, that casting might be a good opportunity for a Constantine reunion between Francis Lawrence and…

Also really hoping that Ralph Fiennes rumor has it wrong. Great actor but I can’t buy him as the midpoint between the two Snows we’ve seen this far.

I really thought we had two slam-dunk choices here between Kingsley Ben-Adir and Justice Smith. But I’m sure he’ll do fine.
