I was curious if they would stick to Lucy Gray's book ending because it was so ambiguous.I've seen this yesterday and unfortunately I didn't enjoy it that much especially the last part.
This film is divided in 3 parts, Part 3 is where Snow becomes a "peacekeeper" and it lasted for about 30 minutes. The film isn't entertaining anymore once the Games ended. The female lead ghosted Snow, not really a good resolution to their story.
I wonder if this and Mockingjay focused on the games like the first two, would have been better?
I think the resolution to her story only works if you think of the grand scheme of things.
She was a performer who loved attention, but now because of the Capital erasing the 10th Hunger Games footage, her disappearing, and Snow never mentioning her again, she's essentially forgotten by all. That's something you know she would never want. Personally I think even a confirmed bleak ending would've worked better, but I get why they left it so open.
