Lionsgate has locked in a host of independent international distribution partners for The Hunger Games: Sunrise On The Reaping, which begins filming this summer.

The sixth installment in the billion dollar franchise is due to be released from November 20, 2026.

Lionsgate will release the film in North America and the UK. International partners include Leonine (Germany), Metropolitan Film (France), Notorious (Italy), Nordisk (Scandinavia), Belga (Benelux), Forum (Eastern Europe, Israel), Ascot Elite (Switzerland), Pris (Portugal), Empire Entertainment (South Africa), Spentzos (Greece), BG Filmcilik (Turkey), Acme (Baltics), Myndform (Iceland), and IDC (Latin America), a 50/50 joint venture with Lionsgate. Negotiations are ongoing in additional markets.

This feels like The Long Walk Francis Lawrence. Wow. Such a different tone and aesthetic from the earlier films, I wasn't expecting that. This is the darkest story in the franchise by far, and that's already present in the teaser. I'm excited!
