Three down, seven left to go! Which one of our thespians won't steal the show tonight? Be prepared for some drama!

THIS... IS HYPE! IDOL!

After last week's show, our Idol-hopefuls are back to perform hits from the Broadway stage. You'll be experiencing songs from the classics to the new sensations of that famous, New York City Street. Some of our contestants think they're in their element this week, others can't say the same. But we'll let you be the judge.

You, and, well, our judges of course.

Unfortunately, DBella is out of town this week. And when AndThePickles was asked to be her replacement, this is what she said:

AndThePickles: "No problem, I love musicals!" :yay:
Looks like she's good to go. But where is her man, Colossal Spoons? Kind of strange he ended up missing when DBella left town. Well, not unlike the stage, it seems Hype! Idol may have some drama. But, probably not. Well, Badger was the best we could do for the second replacement. :o

Roles get recast all the time, right? :csad:

But, hey! Erzengel's still with us!

So, if you were confused by reading that mess of colored names up there, let me recap on who this week's judges are: Badger, AndThePickles and Erzengel.

This should be interesting. Broadway belts after this!

Bueller? Bueller? Bueller?

Ladies and gentlemen, you are such a wonderful crowd, I'd like to dedicate this "Word From Our Sponsor" tune to you. It's one of my personal favorites and I'd like to also give a special dedication to a young man who doesn't think he's seen anything good in life - Original Bamfer, this one's for you.

As you know, I'm Ferris Bueller. My alter-ego knows a ton about Broadway but he couldn't be here today so I am here to tell you to be gentle on the posters. We wouldn't want to get those moderators involved. If anyone needs a day off, it's Original Bamfer. He has a lot of things to sort out before he turns 20. Can't be wound up this tight and go off into the real world, it will kill him. Also, pardon my French, but Showtime is so tight that if you stuck a lump of coal up his butt in two weeks you'd have a diamond.

For the contestants, you need the confidence to say to yourself, "Incredible! One of the worst performances of my career and they never doubted it for a second."

Now if you'll excuse me I do have a test today. It's on European socialism. I mean, really, what's the point? I'm not European. I don't plan on being European. So who cares if they're socialists? They could be fascist anarchists. It still doesn't change the fact that I don't own a car.

Welcome back! ”Grease“ is the word of this performance. Here‘s knowsbleed with Grease from, well, Grease.

knowsbleed - Grease, Grease

What‘s the word?

Badger: "hahahahahahhahahahhahahahahahhahahaha
*clutches chest* hahahahahahahahaha!!!"

AndThePickles: “This might not have been the best Grease song for you to choose to sing, but good effort  It's one of the harder ones!”

Erzengel: “First off can you spell Grease? :o Anywho, this was nice but I still haven't been rocked by one of your performances. It still sounds like you are sitting in your room or in your car just singing this. ”

And here‘s Star with Seasons of Love from RENT.

Star - Seasons of Love, RENT

Judges, did you feel the love?

Badger: “Nice voice, though the song seemed off for me. Definetly could've been better.”

AndThePickles: “I think this song may have been a bit too high for your voice as unfortunately it was off-key a lot :csad: Good effort though, and it's one of my favorite musical songs ”

Erzengel: “You have such a sweet voice, but I've seen the show and movie and you need to put more energy into this song. I just didn't enjoy it as much as I wanted to.”

JP sings about our remaining seven contestants in the song Nicest Kids in Town from Hairspray.

JP - Nicest Kids in Town, Hairspray

Was he one of the nicest kids in town?

Badger: "Very nice, great job. Now if we could only do something about your hair."

AndThePickles: “This is definitely your genre! It sounds like you really got into singing this song...great job! ”

Erzengel: “Very nice rendition of this song. Very energetic, you really got into it which I liked. Very well done.”

Majik1387 sings Her Voice from the new Broadway Disney Experience, The Little Mermaid.

Majik1387 - Her Voice, The Little Mermaid

How did you feel about his voice, judges?

Badger: “I liked it, nice tempo.”

AndThePickles: “I think that musicals are your forte. And yay Little Mermaid, did you sense that I'd be a guest judge? :oldrazz: Great vocal control, and you really hit those high notes! Lovely  :yay:”

Erzengel: “Excellent. You topped your last performance with this one. I was very impressed. Nicely done.“

Now it’s ObakeTora’s turn on the stage with The Wiz‘s You Can‘t Win.

ObakeTora - You Can't Win, The Wiz

Can he win, judges?

Badger: “Simply awesome!! Mind blown!!”

AndThePickles: “Haha, somehow I knew you would choose The Wiz! A great performance as usual...you were really passionate and on point hitting the low notes at the end of the song. You really showed off your vocal abilities in this one!! ”

Erzengel: “Another outstanding performance. Each week you outdo your last performance. My only gripe is that was too brief. ”

Monster’s next, singing King Herod‘s Song from Jesus Christ Superstar.

Monster - King Herod's Song, Jesus Christ Superstar

So, was it Broadway-worthy?

Badger: “Not my favorite of yours, seemed flat. Sorry, mate.”

AndThePickles: “You sang out loud and clear and had great control over the words. You really annunciated in this one! ”

Erzengel: “Wonderful. I really liked your rendition, especially doing it a Capella style. You really got into it. ”

Shlee teaches us how to be Popular with some help from the current Broadway hit, Wicked.

Shlee - Popular, Wicked

So, judges, do you think she‘ll be popular this week?

Badger: "I'm a big fan and that was a home run!”

AndThePickles: “Wonderful performance! You really got into it and showed off the personality of the piece. I loved the "giggle" interjections. One of my favorites for this week!”

Erzengel: “I liked the last half better than your first half, it seemed like you were more into "character" then. But overall, another amazing performance.”

I can spell Grease! :cmad: I just wanted to use a different link for the title so that I don't get teh copyright police deleting my stuffs.

Man... you guys are so rough!! I hate you Badger! :cmad:

Thanks guys. I'm not too happy with this week. I did all the backing vocals myself and it sounds like a bunch of zombies. :(

They love you JP. They love you every week. I'm going to kick Badger's ass! :cmad:

I splurged on the voting and voted for 3 people, but this week my favourite 2 were JP and Shlee.

I've seen Grease only on Cable/VHS, etc.

I've seen portions of Jesus Christ Superstar and the Wiz but I'm very familiar with a lot of the songs mostly with the former.

My favorite songs from Jesus Christ Superstar are Everything's Alright and I Don't Know How to Love Him.

I've seen Wicked, Littler Mermaid, Hairspray and Rent all on Broadway.

So yeah, for most of you who didn't know I do see quite a few Broadway shows. So far 2 this year and I'm seeing Young Frankenstein next weekend.

Overall I liked most of your performances, however, I'm throwing my votes to maybe not the more popular people who I feel did an outstanding job this week.

JP, Shlee, and Majik were my favorites.

Why is Obake the only one using a video.

And I finally voted! :)

Just wanted to say thanks to TOB for letting me fill in. While I was rough on some, I just want to say that you are all very talented (even you knowsy)and much braver then myself. It is much easier to stand back and critique then do what you all are doing. So in that breath, I say bravo to all of you.

Shlee, you are simply amazing. I think this is my favorite from you thus far.

Obake. Maybe it's because I hate The Wiz, but that was my least favorite from you. And I usually love your stuff. I think if you used a backing track/instrumental it would really enhance the quality of your performance. That, and a better mic as the one you have isn't doing much for your voice.

But oh man, Shlee.
