Hello Spies, the merge...well, before we talk about the merge lets honor Squirrel and his many Hype Survivor accomplishme....y'know what, lets just talk about the merge. But first, lets get these out of the way:

The Rules:

Twenty four spies. Two tribes. One Survivor.

Each 'day' is marked by a new challenge. Days in this game can last anywhere from ten minutes to one week. Each tribe will receive team challenges (instructions for challenges will be explained for each challenge). Challenges can be anything from basic trivia, to various games, to photo editing competitions. Judgment and scoring of challenges will vary depending on the challenge and will be explained in the challenge PM. The tribe who wins the challenge will receive immunity. The tribe who loses the challenge will go to tribal council.

Tribal council is simple. Each player receives on vote, you vote out the person you want to remove from the game. Majority vote wins. Once you are voted out, you no longer play the game and for all intents and purposes lose. Ties at tribal council will be broken by special challenges.

At some point the tribes will be merged into one tribe. Only the hosts will know about this day until the time it actually comes. Once tribes merge, challenges will be played for individual immunity at tribal council. In other words, you’re on your own.

Hype! Survivor is a game of both strategy and deception. Alliances are both permitted, and encouraged. Masterminding and forethought are the keys to success. On a side note: alliances can be with any of the 26 players... doesn't matter who they are... doesn't matter what tribes they're on... just make sure it's someone you trust... or not. As the old saying goes: keep your friends close, and your enemies closer.

The final Jury will be composed of 7 people: everyone voted off from the remaining nine players who didn't make the finals. The Jury and only the Jury will vote FOR WHO THEY THINK SHOULD WIN of the final two remaining players to find the winner of the Hype! Survivor.

A note on cheating: It's very easy to cheat in this game. Very, very easy. Some of the rounds will be much more difficult to cheat at than others (some will be downright impossible to cheat on). Regardless, hosts have ways of catching you, and sometimes will even set up traps for you. If you feel you have to cheat in an internet game, by all means, go ahead... but if you're caught, you WILL be penalized. Again, specific rules of what's legal or not will be in each challenge PM.

This game will bring a couple new elements into the game. Firstly are reward challenges. Most challenges will include a built on side challenge that is entirely optional but winning it will give you or your tribe a reward of various types and sizes. These are separate from immunity challenges and are not required, but could be very useful.

This game will also feature the return of the hidden immunity idol. There is an immunity idol is hidden somewhere on the Hype. If you find it, it can be used in any tribal council prior to the revelation of votes. If you use it, you are safe from being voted out at that tribal council and all votes against you will be discarded. Once it is used, the user loses it and it will be hidden somewhere else on the Hype. It can be used any time until the final five tribal council. Once you’re in the final four, it is dead. Clues to the location will be the reward in alternating reward challenges. They will be given to your tribe captain and it is their choice as to whether or not they’d like to share them.

Starting with Day 2, Tribe Captains are to be announced in your tribe forum prior to the start of every challenge. They, and only they can submit your tribe’s official challenge submission. The same player cannot be captain twice in a row.

Once a submission is made in your tribe's forum or by PM, it is final. No editting of the submission or resubmission will be accepted, regardless of how much time remains until the deadline.

Finally, each tribe has a mole within it. This player is a double agent for the other tribe and will secretly vote in their tribe’s tribal council. For example, there is a member of the Black Tribe in the White Tribe. Despite being a member of the White Tribe and being able to be voted out of the White Tribe, they can secretly vote in the Black Tribe’s and only the Black Tribe’s tribal council. Likewise, there is a member of the White Tribe in Black and they have the same voting privileges. Now your job as a tribe is to root out this traitor and vote them out. If the spies make it to the merge, they will receive a HUGE clue as to the location of the hidden immunity idol as well as all other clues given up until that point.

These rules are subject to change at any time with absolutely no warning. They are more of guidelines for the game. Specific rules for each challenge will be issued via Challenge PM.

Assume everything is Eastern Time Zone.

The merge is........

Not here yet! :oldrazz:

Why does  always show as a red x for me? No love? Anyways, subscribed.

Yeah, your picture isn't showing up Spider-Fan.

It's the heart emoticon. Can you see this ? It's just a red x to me.

Edit: HR or Matt, I need my forums password please.

Nope. All I see is a red 'X'.

Then that means the heart emoticon is not working for both of us. We can not express our love. :csad:

Poor Morg...still gets blamed for everything. :hehe:

LOL! My heart emoticon is a red x. That is hilariously awesome

Guess no results yet :csad:

I think we already know how this is going to end. Then again there is a .000000001 chance I am wrong.

I assume if the White Spies hadn't submitted anything we would know by now. The fact that there are still no results tells me that they must have a submission and both of the submissions are still in the hands of the judges.

these survivor threads sure are quiet lately....

They're silent...but deadly! :hehe:

Results coming up, first here are the entries:

Black Spies -

Appearance: Please note that the subject's appearance has changed from mission to mission. Ms. Scargetti is about 5'11". She weighs around 135lbs and has natural brown eyes and hair. Ms. Scargetti also has a small scar on her lower back that is the result of a knife wound from a mission in Cairo, Egypt.

Biography: Ms. Scargetti was raised in Irondale, Alabama by local police officer Matthew Scargetti. Upon further investigation of Matthew Scargetti, it has been discovered that he is not Dana's biological father.

On March 25th, 1974 at 0200, Matthew found a wrecked car along his normal nightly inspection route of the neighborhood to which he was assigned. In this wrecked car was a deceased male victim and a small female infant who was still alie. The deceased male victim was transported to the coroner for autopsy. The results of said autopsy revealed that the male victim had some kind of unknown toxin in his bloodstream. Another note of importance is that this victim's fingerprints did not match any known records of individuals in the database. It was as if this man never existed nor did this child. The man is only known as “John Doe” to local authorities and the case was ultimately kept out of the press in order to disguise the location of the child.

Despite being recently divorced, Matthew volunteered to raise the child. He named her Dana after his mother, who had died the previous year from lung cancer. While Matthew had to work a lot in order to make ends meet, he made sure he never missed any important events in Dana's life. He would even drive her to school every morning in his squad car. Chief Rider would also let Dana stay in the police station when Matthew couldn't find a babysitter. (He was kind of a second father for Dana during her childhood and adolesence.)

Dana has been a perennial over achiever in her life. She was captain of the varsity volleyball and softball teams at Shades Valley High School as a freshman. Dana has also never earned lower than an “A” in her entire academic career from K-12. Dana's success in both school and sports can be attributed to her extreme competitiveness. From a very early age, Dana took failure seriously, no matter how minor, and would constantly strive to be perfect at everything. Getting an “A-” in her eyes was like getting an “F.”

At 18 years of age, Ms. Scargetti touted a resume that any university would salivate over. She turned down softball scholarships from Texas, Oklahoma, and Oregon State in order to follow in her adopted father's footsteps and become an officer. While her loyalty served the police force for five years, Dana's potential was first noticed by the CIA when she became involved in a terrorist plot against a crucial city's water supple. CIA Agent Nick S. York was head of said operation, and personally advocated for Dana's recruitment.

Eventually, Agent York got his way. Ms. Scargetti was trained by Brian 'Powder-Man' Allen, and was a very fast learner. In fact, she was deemed ready for her first mission within one month's time. Her first assignment was to aid in the capture of the men responsible for the Oklahoma City bombing. Teamed with fellow new comers Kal Elsworth and bomb expert Orin “Bamfer” Gear-heart, Ms. Scargetti continued to be a bright star within the agency. She personally captured Terry Nichols and was later assigned to prevent various arms deals in Cairo, Moscow, and Amman.

Over this time, Agent York and Agent Scargetti became very close friends. For three years, they did everything from tracking cocaine smugglers in Columbia to tracking down the most wanted assailants in post-invasion Iraq. There was, and still is, a lot of speculation that the two were romantically linked, but there no concrete proof has ever surfaced.

On June 17th, 2004, during a mission to rescue Special Agent “Hip” Hunter in Saint Petersburgh, they were betrayed by fellow agent Mark Markson, who had defected to our side by this point in time. While Agent Scargetti was able to escape with her life, Nick wasn't as lucky. He was shot 6 times in the chest during the shoot out.

From that point on, Ms. Scargetti has been obsessed with the Black Spies. She has aggressively pursued any and all missions regarding Black Spy activity. (This includes leading the operation in Romania that ended in the killing of our beloved Commander C. Miller.)

Personality: Ms. Scargetti seems to think of everything in terms of competition. She is very competitive and her resolve is incredibly hard to destroy. She also tends to out perform everyone else on mission assignments in order to 'put her stamp' on it. Ms. Scargetti is a very loyal individual and will do whatever necessary for those closest to her at no personal gain to herself. (As referenced by her decision to pass up on free education in order to continue her family's legacy.)

However, all of these examples and character traits can be used to destroy Ms. Scargetti. Given her competitive nature, she is not quick to trust others. Her competitive strength can be used to force the subject into compromising situations. And her strong resolve won't easily allow her to leave a bad situation.

Known Associates: Matthew Scargetti (father), "Hunt" Rider (friend/mentor), Nick S. York (deceased), Brian "Powder-Man" Allen (mentor), Kal Ellsworth (associate), Orin "Bamfer" Gear-heart (associate), "Hip" Hunter (associate)

Current Location of Ms. Scargetti: Subject is currently in Los Angeles attempting to prevent the deal with Salvador Montoya, and to follow up on leads in her search for Mark Markson. She is staying at the Holiday Inn Express near the Los Angeles Airport in California.

Current Black Spy Activity on Subject: We assigned Agent Teddy to watch and record any and all movements Dana Scargetti (subject) made.

Here is Agent Teddy's report:

-0600: Subject leaves hotel room for morning jog.

-0632: Subject returns to hotel from morning jog.

holidayinnla.png

-0815: Subject leaves hotel on foot. Heading north. Wearing a a dark blue pantsuit.

-0835: Subject is sitting at an outdoor cafe.

8yjcd00z.png

-0930: Subject meets a 6'2" African-American male in a suit at said cafe.

-1045: African-American male leaves table. Seems to have left some kind of envelope with subject. Note is coded and I can't make out its meaning.

-1107: Subject is now leaving the cafe and is again heading north.

-1120: Subject is entering shopping mall.

losangelesmall.png

-1205: Subject is meeting with a caucasian male of about 5'10", broad shoulders, and graying hair. Discussion is about a potential leak on Agent Markson's location. Something about a warehouse outside of town. No specific name is specified.

-1428: Subject has taken a scenic route back to hotel.

parkpathway.png

-1501: Subject has returned to hotel.

-1909: Subject has re-emerged from hotel. Is standing outside said hotel.

-1934: Subject is heading south outside hotel. She has changed hair color, probably a wig, and is now wearing a revealing dress.

-2031: Subject now entering night club.

laclub.png

-2047: Subject is meeting with a different caucasian male. This man is easily 6'4" and younger than the previous man. He is dressed in very nice apparel, so likely is prominent. Noise makes hearing conversation next to impossible, and too many people in the way to read lips.

insideclub1.png

-2152: Subject began dancing with the man on the floor. I managed to get closer to the subject. Overheard that they knew the time of the Montoya deal, but not which warehouse. Man says he knows someone who might know. This indicates a potential mole in our ranks.

-0123: Most of the rest of evening is uneventful. Subject returns home to hotel and lights went out. Likely went to sleep.

Since Agent Teddy's report raised some serious questions about the loyalty of our spies, as well as Ms. Scargetti was closing in on the location of the deal and Agent Markson, we assigned “Project” Pat to bug Ms. Scargetti's house. We have also assigned one of our top combat agents - Derek “Iron” Pfister - to help monitor the room and protect Agent Pat.

Around 1930 on June 6th, 2010, the following conversation was observed. Dana Scargetti received a call from Kal Ellsworth.

Here is an excerpt from that conversation:

Kal (1930): Are you sure the information is solid? I mean, can we trust this Nirvana guy? He won't even tell us his name!
Dana (1930): I'm positive on this, Kal. I mean, they burned him, tried to kill him, and he has no place to go. Why would he lie to us now?
Kal (1931): I just can't help feeling like this is some kind of trap. I feel we need more information on him before we can trust him.
Dana (1931): He's giving us the secrets we need to take the Black Spies down! What more do you need?
Kal (1931): The location would help.
Dana (1932): It's his last bargaining chip. He'll give it to us eventually.
Kal (1932): We can only hope.

Recommended Action: Given the nature of former Agent Nirvana's knowledge of the inner workings of our organization, it has been determined that he must be eliminated. Changing the location of the meeting place with Montoya is also in the works. New destination is to be determined. (The less agents who know, the better.) It is also highly recommended that Special Agent Dana Scargetti be eliminated, as well. Not just to destroy a perennial thorn in our side, but to honor Commander C. Miller.
