i mean everyone is trashing the movie, but i thought it was very interesting and made a lot of sense. my only problem is if they were initially not considering making a fourth movie why did hey leave all the ? endings? other than that i thought it made perfect sense. serious fans of the comics need to realize that with so many years of comic books, its not going to be word for word in a 2 hour movie. some parts will be changed and may not stay perfectly true to he comics. you just cant do it. i admit wolverine had a lot of screen time throughout the series but when you have an ensemble cast, its not entirely shocking that the writers would single out a certain character for the most part. i mean everyone has their own opinion and to each their own but i liked this movie and the two that came before it.:O

Jean Grey Rocks :xmen:

No need to be embarrassed about enjoying the movie. I enjoyed it, too. I found it to be very entertaining and despite the misfortunes, it was still pretty damn good.

Yeah. Me too.

Heey I loved the movie to...
I am not going to bash it... some thing happened that i didn't expect but if you think it all makes sense what happened

Did you really have to create a thread to tell us this?

i just wanna wait for the dvd to see Rogue not takin the cure, but aside from that, it was a wonderful film. Defects? sure, like any other movie, including X1 and X2, but i loved it.

I think a lot of people didn't love it because of the deaths of Jean, Scott and Charles and that Rogue was cured.

I took Jean's death pretty hard... cause I found it emotional and it hit me and it was believable to me. Unlike Padme's death... meh... Jean's death had more realism compared to Padme's.

Among other things. (Dialogue, script, plot holes, continuity etc...)

Didn't leave too many ? endings though. It concluded everything pretty much, actually, and the things that were left open (Magneto and Professor Xavier) aren't really enough to warrant another sequel. Okay, so we know that Xavier survived. We can assume he'll be nursed back at Muir Island, and go back to the mansion. Magneto has his powers, but not enough for a sequel. I just see that as meaning he's too powerful for the cure.

Normally, I would totally agree with you. But if you've read the comics, then you'll know that the story told in the movie (at least the Phoenix part of it) had minimal resemblence to the actual Phoenix Saga. And I'm not talking about the space stuff.

The entire essence and foundation of the Phoenix Saga was changed for this movie. The changes were much larger than just "how do we translate 40 years worth of comic books into a 2 hour movie"... as a comparrison, these changes were more along the lines of having Aragorn be killed off, and Frodo is made the King of Gondor in his stead, because of what Frodo went through in destroying the ring and such.

I don't hate the movie, I liked it a lot, but these changes are much bigger than your typical "comic book to movie adaptation".

How painful can it get? All together now, say AH...

The film was alright its not the best film I have ever seen. Don't be emabbarssed because you liked it.
awww that does look painful that scene was emotinal! :(

I actually enjoyed this more than the other movies so you are not the only one.

OMG...finally a topic about The Last Stand being actually an entraining movie! Yey, people who loved it!

Yeah a lot of people dislike it, and it is understanable why, but I really enjoyed it personally. I tried to look past all the things that were wrong with it and took it for what it is and really enjoyed it.

I thought it was a good movie, in that it told a story and had good effects, etc. It was a worthy entry in the film saga.

But it completely fell apart when I thought about the potential of the film, and what was set-up in X2. When I thought "That was X3? That was the big payoff?" I began to absolutely hate the film. It basically told the fans "We don't give a f*** about the Phoenix story, or the characters...but we have a fastball special and a battle line, so come see the movie again!"

I like it very much and I don't care why people didn't.

I liked the movie, but it definitely could have been better....Juggernaut Vinnie Jones was laffable at best. Pyro was done quite well I thought. Iceman was weak until he finally grew some balls at the end when he ices up. Rogue could have just hooked up with Leech and finally get cherry popped. All in all a good trilogy.

Despite what others think, I thought the Phoenix storyline was done well, the effects(firebird should have been there) were good, and Famke conveyed such emotion.

The movie was great....
I really hate it when people say the movie sucked....
It was good...
