I Am Alive

Oh man that looks sexy. I would buy it. It's like...well, honestly I don't know what it's like. It's a mix of a lot. Climbing, FPS shooting, stealth, horror, survival, action. Very exciting. Hope it comes out soon.

Haha i was thinking the same. Im like, just what would i classify this as? Platforming? FPS? Stealth? Action Adventure? Whatever it is it looks pretty neat.

I hope it's still in the works. Because that trailer looks very interesting. The combination of genres could be tricky, but the atmosphere and concept seems promising enough that the fiction could really make it shine.

It calls to mind some movies like Book of Eli and The Road.

I liked how the room of dudes with machetes were holding they're hands up being at gunpoint by the player. And yeah, there are spots that looks like it can be really harsh (like some spots were in Book of Eli and The Road).

Crap, that footage looks awesome. I hope it gets finished someday. I especially love how the AI thugs with sticks apparently have the brains to not keep attacking you if you've got a gun pointed at them.

Spot on. It really feels like Road / Eli. Heck, even Fallout 3 didn't have some of this stuff. The part with shadows in IAA trailer look really disturbing and unheard of in a video game (At least in a mainstream one).

Good news everyone. Ubisoft has announced it'll be out this winter.

“We know people have been waiting for this game to arrive, and we believe it’s going to be worth the wait,” said Ubisoft’s marketing director Adam Novickas.

“I Am Alive presents a unique take on the postapocalyptic, survival genre by creating more complex and emotional situations for the player. Xbox LIVE Arcade and PlayStation Network are the perfect platforms to leverage the mature and challenging experiences of the game.”

Here's the trailer that's similar to the one we've seen earlier.

I'm so glad to hear this, finally.

YES! This game looks amazing. I will be picking this up.

It's going to be a Live Arcade/PSN game? I was expecting it to release on disc.

But, yeah...I'll give it try either way. The trailer looks good.

Can't wait. I thought it'd be a full-scale release, but I certainly don't mind Live Arcade and PSN (and, presumably, the lower price it'll probably have there). I just hope that doesn't mean they cut a lot out of the game to scale it down or anything.

Yeah, I'm curious as to that as well. But, the lower price that I guess have to have for being an Arcade release sounds like an investment I'd be willing to make from what I've seen.

Yeah, hopefully more people will try it at the $10 or $15 price point common on Live and PSN instead of the full $60 price of a retail release. I don't even know if I'd have bought it right away at $60, and I've been psyched about this game since I saw the first trailer way back when. I probably would've held off and waited for a drop to $40 or $35.

I was hoping that it was a retail release but it's good enough that they're releasing at all. Nonetheless I hope for an enjoyable time with it, it's been a long wait so I hope all the work they put out in the game paid of, it doesn't look bad for a XBLA/PSN title.

So this game is still Alive! Been waiting for this forever.

I wanna see some new video of what they have ready before I decide. The old trailer had me pumped though.

That beginning...that might be the most unimpressive face I've ever seen. Literally ever.

I think i will pass on this one for some reason i thought it was a shooter

Yea from all the previews iv been reading, the visuals aren't one of this games strengths.

Eh, it looks all right when he's climbing around and doing stuff. That's the important part. I just hope there aren't too many close-ups during dialogue segments or anything.

I dont really care that much about the visuals any way. I dont expect them to be that good. its still a downloadable title after all.

Yeah, I could've seen myself getting a bit upset if it were still going to be a full retail game.

Looks like jolly good fun. The protaganist reminds me of Alan Wake for some reason.
