I am a Paint master. Really I am.

I'm 13 years old and my future dream job is Graphic Design.

I'm curently doing this whole (yes, WHOLE) pic all on Microsoft paint.

No photoshop, no filters. Just a MS Paint Brush and colours.

You can already see which parts are made on Paint and which arnt.

I'm not done the pic, but damn, this is coming out well.

So far I spent 3 hours on it.

You try it, find the exact image and do what I did, I dare you, then tell me how easy it is.

If you really want to get into graphic design, get yourself a copy of photoshop and corel painter. You will never use ms paint ever in your professional life.

Yeah I know, I know, but at this moment. I have no $$$ and i'll have to wait a little bit.

I'm making big things with simple programs.

Indeed.

Dude, look up the greatest paint picture ever, a dude did the same as me, but over a bunch of buildings and it took him 500 hours. (no exageration)

i would suggest downloading Gimp. its free and very similar to photoshop. you can also find tutorials online to help you get a grasp of the program

Guys guys, dont worry.

I use Paint.NET kinda like Photoshop so its cool.

I just thought of doing a overlaping colouring pic and it randomly turned into a discusion about how I dont use the right programs.

Its ok, I know what i'm doing, lol.

I know you said you were 13, so you've still got plenty of time to correct this, but if your dream job is to become a graphic designer, you're much better served by presenting yourself in a professional manner even on message boards. I take that back. Especially on message boards. Your potential employers are here to take a look at your work, but they also can get a pretty good idea of what you're going to be like to work with and how you'll handle things by the way you present yourself here and on other similar sites.

Coming across as an antagonistic know-it-all is no way to impress anyone with your skills. You're much better served spending the time (like you're doing with this pic) to try new things and ask people for advice on how you can improve your skill-set.

On topic, you've got a good start here using an especially difficult program to get any kind of good results. Are you overlaying your work on top of the picture and just painting over top of that, or did you just merge the two for presentation? It looks like the former. I think you would be better served to use the picture as a reference and try your hand at drawing the pic yourself and then applying colors. At the very least you would be re-enforcing some basic drawing skills while you're playing with program.

Overpainting a photo doesn't make you "GOD of Paint".
I'd recommend using photo references for starters, not overpainting.

I don't respect this. Not just that you're painting over a photo (It's fine to use a source image, but make it your own), but your entire manner and attitude.

Not to mention that your ability to use MS Paint and paint over a photograph has nothing to do with Graphic Design.

as someone who just dropped out of training to become a graphic designer and is now going to uni to get a worthwhile degree my advice is work hard at school go to a good uni and get a job where you can make some ****ing money (thats what Im doing)

THREE HOURS for joker's face??? really?? you are joking around, right?

lol

You got the shirt all wrong duh

lol

. . . lol

it looks like i could do something like that by using the eyedropper tool to pick out primary colors in different shades and then coloring that entire color that color..getting rid of the shading and shadows.

Sorry guys, I got carried away, sorry, no mean intentions intended.

...Don't rip him apart guys...

...Let him do...

Dude, you should check out some of messypandas or nightcrawler29's stuff before you get too cocky. They are pretty amazing.

...im not bad either. :yay:

but i think if you wanta get better, you need to use that pick just as a refrence pic instead of just painting over it.

i think you've got paint down and have figured out all the tricks, so now challenge youself.
