I am moving into my parents'.....townhouse

I've given up the life of the basement dwelling geek a few years ago when i got my apartment, but I'm about to leave next month due to the place just being overall crappy, and too many nutjobs in the building, period. My old man owns a townhouse like two blocks away from where they live, and we're in the midst of settling an agreement to basically give it up to me, which I would rather have as opposed to living like Frank Grimes. Now I can bring home the harem of Chicago women without prying eyes.

And yes, my dad does resemble Uncle Phil. I wouldn't even consider it if the place was THAT close to them. My sister claims she wants to "temporarily" stay here since she hates living with them, so I said I may be able to work out an arrangement...meaning she cleans up the place for me.

I remember when one of my old friends wanted me to move into their parent's pool house. It was actually very nice, but I just couldn't stand the idea of living behind my friend's parents. It ain't free, I have to pay rent. Their neighbors used to own it, and they died a few years back and left it to them because they were pretty close like that. The old man wants to use it as his pet project now that he's a retiree. On the flip side, the place is like right on the border of the "ghetto" and the "suburbia" part of the city, so I can keep it real while being able to go to the nicer stores in one fell swoop.

Uh, that's too close. My dad use to live a few blocks from my house in a apartment and he was always dropping in. I liked to entertain, a lot, so I wasn't cool with him meeting my male friends. He always had that desperate stench of "get some grandbabies" on him.

They ain't like those old people that just sit around, they're usually going to see the O'Jays in concert or whatever **** they got going on.
