I'm kinda a Pirates fan so take this as you will but; I think that WB moved the movie because of Pirates 2, I could be wrong but I doubt it.

X3s success = nothing as the Box Office Drops for that Movie show it will be pretty much dead by the time SR comes out

The studio will make its money back this weekend from domestic totals alone. No matter how people try to spin the dropoff, the film has already done its job here in the US. Not to mention, the publicity it generated from that opening has already branded it a huge success in the minds of the general public.

It doesn't need strong legs and to play through the rest of the summer, because no one expected it to open that big.
