I don't "get" Aqua Teen Hunger Force.

Seriously, why do people like this show? I have never been without at least one room mate who loves this show, and yet I can never understand why. Is it supposed to be funny? Because I have never seen any of them actually laugh at it. They just sit there and watch it, eyes glazed over, and allow their brains to decay as primitively drawn foodstuffs slide cheaply across the screen. The best explanation anyone can give me is "it's not supposed to make sense, that's why it's good." I must have seen at least 15 episodes of this show because so many people I know watch it, and yet I honestly couldn't tell you what a single one was about. It's all a single, jumbled memory, because all of it is the same thing. If the show is not funny, and there is no point to it, then why do people watch it? How did this show manage to last as many seasons as it has?

Simply put, IT'S BORING!

And don't tell me "it's because you weren't watching it high," because that's cheating. Even Two-and-a-Half Men is funny if you're high.

Sometimes it can be funny, but usually I don't get it. the same goes for Tim and Eric awesome show job whatever the **** the title is and Squidbillies. I just don't get how people find them funny, unless you're on drugs, which I don't do.

I've had the same problem so your not alone. I have friends who love it and can't tell you why. I liken it to Spongebob Squarepants. No kid I know did anything but sit and drool at the TV, nor could they tell you what it was about. Its some kind of weird mind****.

If you ever DO like it man, its time to worry. I'd rather watch the preview channel.

I could easily tell you what ATHF and Spongebob are about. I just couldn't make you understand why I find them funny because humor is subjective.

I love Metalocalpyse because it is completely over the top absurd humor but the only reason I think ATHF is off putting to some people is because of what the characters look like. If they were all humans...then I think more people would like it for some reason.

Metalocalypse I can get into, because if you know anything about metal you'll understand the humor. I don't think I'll ever be able to figure out for the life of me what gap in my knowledge prevents me from laughing at Aqua Teen Hunger Force, but then again, none of the people I know who like it actually laugh at it so I guess that's irrelevant to whether or not you like ATHF.

Becuase its so random, I mean its soo stupid, they got carl dying in every episode and shake and meatwad allways do the dumbest thing's that make fryloc angry and not to mention the episode where Carl turn's into an elf and starts dancing randomly at a party full of mascot's lol its so random.

Just like everything comedy, it's all subjective to the individual. I love the show, and while I have watched it stoned, I haven't smoked for the majority of the times I watch it.

It's just an absurd comedy show, that places the characters in the most random situations, with even more random characters. You have to have a certain comedic outlook to like the absurdity. I grew up watching Ren & Stimpy, which is another dementedly absurd cartoon. Maybe that's why I like it?.....

I can understand if you don't like it, because it is a random show, but that's the draw for others. There's a ton of different comedians that people love(ie. Larry The Cable Guy, Jeff Foxworthy, Wanda Sykes, etc), that I absolutely hate, and don't find funny in the tiniest bit. Yet, they're competent comedians, doing it day-in day-out, and plenty of people could tell me otherwise. It's just a matter of opinion, because like I said above, comedy is all subjective.

I loved the first few seasons of ATHF. But I think since the movie came out (even some time before) it's been kinda crappy. It used to be weird, but also funny and clever. Now it's just surreal (but without the wit) and "let's see how gross we can be." No episode has made me laugh since Hand-Banana, and even by then the show was in decline.

Watch the first three seasons or so. Classic episodes like the Trivia episode, the Japanese alien one, "the Shaving", "the Cloning", the "I want Candy" one... those will always be great.

It's just weird humor targeted primarily at stoners. I enjoy it sometimes, but I've certainly had "this is just stupid" moments while watching it too.
