i want hugh's hat...it's so hard to find a fedora with a brim large enough that it doesn't make you look like a *****e, but not so large as it makes you look like indiana jones

It's an awesome hat, isn't it? He looks great in the outfit. I agree about the brim and can see how it would be problematic when it comes to mens hats. With womens hats it's not as big a deal, though you can look like a complete idiot if the thing doesn't fit the rest of the outfit, of course. Not to mention few women can pull off a large hat.

I have a hat like Heath's here and wear it a lot:

I want that joker fedora.

Mmm, yes. I have a short-sleeved satin ladies shirt in the same shade of green as TDK Joker's vest and a stylish vest in purple like his coat and it's a great outfit to wear anywhere, really. Sure they're Joker colors but most of people don't pick up on the reference and green and purple are very popular right now in womens fashion anyway, so I don't seem "out of place" wearing them together. :woot:

i totally agree on both counts, especially since although i love RDJ, he doesnt have the look at all, shame

*high 5* :woot: And yeah, the Holmes look RDJ is sporting is baffling to most Sherlockians but since it's more of a re-imagining and the movie mostly focuses on the action bits and not the deductive reasoning (what the freaking frakk?), I see why they'd change other things about the character, too. Once you take out the detective part he's not really Holmes anymore, so why not change everything? Aghhh. :csad:

And even if there's some mystery included that he needs to solve, he's still so far removed from the original look that he's become an Alternate Universe Holmes to me and not "my Holmes". I'm not buying him right now (I've seen lots of pics of him from the Holmes set).

Not to mention he's too good-looking a man to play Holmes. *laugh* Sure, I don't mind that he's handsome but he's not the old-fashioned kind of "handsome"/striking/eye-catching like Holmes was. One of Holmes' greatest attributes about his appearance was how "striking" he was.

I could see him as a 1920s Mobster

Yes, he's like straight out of a b&w mobster movie!

Oh and Snoo, that guy definitely has a Bruce Wayne look to him. He has the chin too.

15 years ago Dookie by Green Day was released.... I'm old.

And can you imagine this year is the 10th Anniversary of 10 Things I Hate About You? Man, I still remember seeing the trailer when the movie came out.

i know , i just think he'd look pretty BAMF with the hat on .

I'd probably faint if he did. *content sigh* You just know what a HUGE moment that would be to the fans.

Well, to be honest, Heath would look BAMF in anything.

Truth! He'd look great in a pink tutu, sparkly tights and bunny ears.
